I am a Saguaro super fan, I have 6 pairs but these are my "fashion" pair

I have five pairs of Saguaro shoes in a combination of the water shoes out outdoor walking shoes. I wore the walking shoes on my recent trip to London where I walked more than 13 miles every day. I slip in a pair of orthotics for the heel and arch, but I love the wide toe box on the Saguaro shoes. I'm a huge fan of the "barefoot" experience from the standpoint that these shoes allow my feet to really feel the ground and strengthen all the muscles and tendons of the feet to gain better balance.I opted for these and there are things I absolutely love about them and one caveat. These are clearly durable while remaining flexible - which is the hallmark of Saguaro. These go on nice and easy and are different from all my other Saguaros in that it has real shoe laces rather than nylon cord, and the combination of mesh, faux leather and suede make for a more stylish, dressed up look and I'm pleased that I will be using these for more formal wear like with dress pants, and jeans. These are fun to wear (after I put in my orthotics) and they are stylish. These will go on the "dressier" shoe section of my shoe rack and not down with my others that I use for walking, hiking, gardening, etc. Here's the caveat - these aren't quite up to the trail-running task because the soles and the design for the support of the big toe just seem a bit off. I am not disappointed by that because I have my other Sags (as I call them) for that purpose that fit better and I don't mind that they get really dirty. For these, I wouldn't want to mess up the bright white laces or the styling that makes these look more oxford-style.

My second pair

I have been wearing another pair of Saguaro slip on shoes for awhile so I was excited to try a more conventional looking shoe from this brand. These shoes are well made and are comfortable if you are used to this style of shoe. If these are the first you have ever tried, they do take a bit of getting used to. When I first started wearing them they never hurt my feet, just felt different. This pair is definitely more of a shoe than my slip on Saguaros, which are closer to being water shoes really. These feel more like an actual shoe, and have quite a bit of padding to them. You don't feel as much under foot with these. They are comfortable. My only real complaint is the sizing. These are a tad bit smaller than my other 10.5 Saguaro shoes. They are more like a 10 1/4 than 10 1/2 size shoes. I can still wear them, but the tips of my toes will touch occasionally. So there seems to be a bit of a quality control issue or something in the sizing department. I do recommend this brand if you want to try out this style of shoe with the caveat that you might have to return them if the discrepancies in sizes continues in the manufacturing process.

Wide comfy minimalist shoes

These are a very minimalist shoe, and my first ever pair of minimalist shoes, so it's a bit of a new experience for me.For starters, I normally wear a mens 11.5-12 wide; in these, I got a 12. The width is excellent; they're slightly longer than I need, and I feel I would be better off with an 11.5, but they don't feel "clown shoe" oversized or sloppy. As a minimalist shoe, the cushioning is minimal at most, they're about as close to a "barefoot but still looking presentable" as possible. They're very flexible, very conforming, so if you walk on rocks, you'll feel it, but it won't be painfully pokey.I will caution that wet traction in these isn't wonderful, specifically places like polished-marble airport lobbies when it's raining. But as a minimal shoe for flying in, they're pretty nice.

Decent, not my favorite Saguaros

These are well-made shoes, but they are not my favorites. I have a few different pairs of Saguaro shoes and have been wearing barefoot and minimalist shoes for four years now.I think these would be okay for someone trying minimalist footwear for the first time, or someone who needs a little more rigidity. I find the toebox and heel too rigid and inflexible, and it’s hard to tell, but there is the slightest point to the shape of the shoe. I can feel my big toe being pressed inwards which collapses my natural arch I’ve worked so hard to get back. The heel is stiff and the shoe overall feels “thick” - I should probably have sized up and this may address some of my complaints, but still, the slightly pointed toe box is the #1 reason I don’t like these. The suede toe design is attractive but makes the toe box wholly unflexible, so toe splay isn’t happening in these for me.This is an attractive shoe. The green is pretty. I would suggest going up a size if you have especially wide toe splay.

These minimalist shoes makes feet happy!

These are really great, barefoot style shoes with a little more feeling of a traditional sneaker without compromising the wide toe-box and the grounded. feeling that you get. I have bought shoes from this brand before in a different style and I absolutely love them! Once you go with zero drop shoes it’s very hard to go back to “modern” style of shoes. Figuratively speaking, your feet take on the world therefore your shoes should be the most important item in your wardrobe. I recommend going back to nature, being grounded, and zero drop shoes I have no foot issues since I started my zero drop journey I remember when I was a teenager the Earth-shoe style was the new “up-and-coming” style. These are us “step“ above them because there isn’t a thicker soul separating you from the Earth below. Grounding is natural and as close as you can get your feet to the terrain giving you better alignment and I have less foot problems- that’s my experience and personal opinion. For a reference, I have wide feet with high arches, high instep, and slight hammertoes. I’ve always had problems with shoes until zero drop shoes became available. I highly recommend these affordable and comfortable “minimalist” shoes. I even throw mine in the washing machine. I’m not 100% certain that’s recommended, but it has worked for me so far.
