Good shoe with Great Customer Service

Great shoe overall despite having the seams come apart in the front of the shoe after owning then for 2 months. Had both knees replaced a couple years ago and these shoes have been the best and most comfortable shoes so far above Hoka and other plush comfort shoes.Contacted the manufacturer about the seams coming apart and a new pair arrived a week later. Great customer service.

excellent hiking shoe

what a great hiking shoe. Fits true to size, well made and very comfortable right out of the box. This is the second pair I have purchased and both are very comfortable. Purchased this pair for an Israel tour with lots of walking. Having worn them for several weeks, they will be perfect for my trip.I would recommend them to anyone.

Expensive but worth it

I broke both of my feet years ago. These shoes are comfortable the first time you wear them. I need that. I do desire speed lace option

Really, really good shoe, but...

I really like these shoes. First pair of them I have owned. I normally get Vasque shoes, but they stopped making them. These cost a lot more than the vasque did. But I wanted a good shoe to work in.These are very comfortable out of the box. The laces hold very well, they dont untie themselves from walking like the vasque did. I like the salewa a lot more than the vasques.BUT, the flaw has shown itself. I got these in the beginning of May 2025, it is now the beginning of July 2025. I wear these daily, nothing major, I do a lot of walking around customer's homes for work. The outside seam at the toe has come loose. It will soon cause the rubber to crack or tare. To be fair, my vasque shoes have done this too, after 7-9 months or daily wearing. The salewa have done it in 2 months. The soles are a softer rubber that is wearing quickly also.I really want to have a shoe to rely on. That's why I spent $200 on a pair. I will try to repair these to see how long I can keep them going. I can't say I will never buy these again, they really are good shoes, but if I have to repair them often, I can't justify spending $100 a month for good shoes.

Maybe a little misrepresentation

I was looking to replace my Solomon X Ultra 4, one of THE most comfortable trail and walking/lite hikers I have ever worn, but I didn’t like the speed laces. So after reading reviews on comfort I settled on these Salewa. I don’t know what others have been wearing previously who wrote reviews here about how comfortable they were, but there’s a huge difference in the comfort between the two and the Salewa does NOT hold a candle to the Salomon. I am 6’4” 250lbs and built like a soldier. Because I was. And am active on the daily with dog walks, casual lite hikes on boulders, hard and soft surfaces, and find myself on many jobsites during the day as I’m now a general contractor doing whole house remodeling. And these, when I put them on at 6am, do not make my feet feel like I can wear them throughout the day without wanting to remove them immediately upon arriving home after a long day, like my Salomon’s did. The Salomon’s felt like clouds from bell to bell. These feel like rocks after 6-7 hours. While the grip is excellent and the fit well done, these weigh much more. I have zero concern over how durable they are since I’ll only be wearing them til I’m home and then put my Chaco’s on. But as a daily driver, here in Colorado, this isn’t an around the clock choice if you’re looking for something that make you less tired which you’ll be wearing for extended hours each day. Lesson learned. I’ll not be relying upon reviews as much as I once did. Dutch wooden clogs may be as good as these and their more sustainable. Thanks for the read. Hope it helps.

Delivery not complete.

Not delivered due to not enough shipping paid. Product was listed as free shipping but USPS held the package for being $8.50 short on shipping fees. Had to go way out of the way to retrieve the package from post office.Shoes were top notch, but delivery needs work.
