Great Shoes
I had a number of very old school 5.10 approach shoes that all other are now compared with in my mind. These are pretty close. Very comfortable and with decent grip. Definitely no complaints.

Terrible. Despite my high hopes for these, as they are fitted and not like Chinese-made junk. But there is NO metatarsal (ball of the foot) padding. Comes with 2 insoles, but neither offer any metatarsal padding. In fact that area of the inner sole is flat and hard. I would not have purchased if I had known this. Gave these shoes a good chance to prove themselves, a couple of months of gentle hiking, but they have hurt my feet in the metatarsal area and cannot be worn anymore. Quite a waste of money. Also, the shoe laces are so ugly, I spent extra money buying a black pair to replace the orange ones. Adults don't need to dress like children and have bright orange shoe laces.
Great shoes for technical terrain. I appreciate the light weight and fast drying nature of the upper, but would definitely jump at an all-leather version of these for a little added protection from sharp rocks in talus fields.
The fit for my size 14 is accurate. They are great looking shoes. The insoles could be just a little softer. I don’t notice it that much on 4-5 mile days but I typically put in around 10 mile hikes and I do notice the hardness compared to other brands.
Awful. After 5 weeks of just wearing them for work standing the side "strings" that hold the laces broke! It's not even repairable, they're cheap junk. Regular eyelets would be better. I can see if I was climbing rugged mountain rocks and scraping the shoes, but really - standing on my feet and they break. I'm totally disappointed in Salewa. I have another pair and both are not comfortable for insole support either. I do not recommend this brand at all.
The shoe looks great feels great but it squeaks as you walk.
Sole has excessive wear after 1 week. And I sit at desk all day. Comfortable, but sole to soft
