Love this hiking shoe!

These hikers are GREAT! I wore them for a few hours the evening before a strenuous 13 mile hike & had zero problems the next day. I didn't get any blisters, and they offer fantastic support so my feet didn't hurt at the end of the day. They come with an additional insert you can add for higher arch support, but I have pretty much flat feet so I just went with the inserts that were already in them. The toe is reinforced. So, on our climb back UP the mountain at about mile 10 (this particular hike is a little "backwards"), when I stubbed my toe due to fatige for about the 20th time, it DID hurt, but not as badly as it would have if I were wearing a lesser shoe. I was fine the next day. These are awesom for the mountainous rocky terrain we frequently hike & the rubbery-grip on the sides are perfect for light climbing. I've only used them in summer months so far, so I am unsure about how warm they'll keep my feet in the fall, and I haven't gotten them wet yet so I don't know about the level of water-proofing either. Will try to update after fall use.

Great hiking shoes, love the look as well

I got these because they were recommended for both my husband and son for a trip summiting the Grand Teton four years ago and they've been their go-tos ever since. Great fit, support, and comfort as I break them in on local streets and paths (they need little to no breaking in, really); looking forward to hiking in state and national parks in the coming camping/travel season.

I bought these for my wife and she has loved them. Not only are the stylish but they are built really well! She loves the color (picture is accurate) and fit. The nice thing about these particular shoes is the hard rubber climbing tip, which makes them exceptional for canyoneering. Not only to do you get comfort but you get practicality as well. Also the price was $40 cheaper than my local climbing store!

I like it

I walk it around the house with and stiff, sturdy and good grip. Get 1/2 for regular socks or 1 size bigger for thicker socks. The only thing I'm worried about is the outsoles are thin and I think these shoes won't last for a year or maybe less for me. I read some other reviews it last for her about 3 months or so. If you love outdoors and wear it everyday these are not for you. Don't get me wrong I love the shoes but the company needs to fix it, keep the designs and the fit a little wider but make a thicker and more sturdy outsole then it would be perfect.

Awesome hiking shoes

As with other reviewers, have worn these on long, arduous hikes without blister formation. These work perfectly for boulder scrambling, with a sure grip on pretty slippery surfaces (even rocks in streams). These semi-technical shoes can be used for lower-level (</=5.8) climbing, so the toe area and soles are thinner than normal hiking boots - makes them a good shoe for a multiday climb if you're trying to keep your pack light. Only drawback is when going back down steep paths with smaller rocks or loose gravel/sand, your toes take a bit more of a beating.

Go up in size

I had returned these almost immediately. I have slim feet and I prefer my shoes snug fitting. These shoes made my feet feel like i was trying to squeeze my foot into a child's shoe. I tried to take a short walk in them but that ended quickly. I shouldn't have to suffer to break in my shoes. I loved the fun look of them and maybe they would've fit better had I gone up in size but I wasn't taking that chance. Returning them was really easy. I typically wear a 6.5, sometimes a 7. These were 6.5.
