Best Hiking & Scrambling Shoes
These were great shoes. I'm writing this after 3 years wearing these shoes almost every day. These are extremely comfortable and I just now wore them out and bought another pair. The sole is great for hiking and scrambling. The grip on rocks is sticky and builds confidence over rough terrain. They are also comfortable to wear on the street and are fashionable enough to draw compliments. Another important feature is they wash up easily and look new again after squirting off the mud and dust with a garden hose. The fit is exactly as it should be - not like some of the other expensive trail shoed which are one size too small and extremely narrow. You won't need to guess if they will squeeze your feet like those. Wear them and good hiking!!

My favorite pair of shoes
I've been wearing this shoe for 10 years and I have yet to have any complaints they are so durable and comfortable I wear them for work and recreation. Nice snug fit and the shoe design is unique I love them. Excellent grip

Salewa wildfire Edge GTX, Great outdoor recreational shoe!
Shoes arrived quickly and properly packaged. These shoes are a step above Merrell's/North Face shoes and are surprisingly comfortable for light - med hikers. Shoes are a true fit for me ( Men's 13) & came with a spare pair of inserts to help keep arch geometry. Shoe color is as pictured on Amazon (green). As far as the $189 price tag, the shoes are performing on-par for this price range - excellent grip for trail running/hiking as well as while being comfortable enough for everyday walking in the concrete jungle. I will be getting another pair from Salewa.

Good product. Used it for 3+ years - came up Kilimanjaro, Machu Pichu & AlaKul Lake.If you have broad feet - shoes will hurt your toes when going down hill as the front is narrow.

I love my Salewa’s!!
Great shoe for hiking! Bought a different pair of Salewa’s since they are quickly becoming my favorite hiking shoe brand. I love the comfortness but also the sturdiness. These are perfect for the dirt trails I normally hike. I have yet to feel some sort of discomfort while out on a trail. The trails I use these on normally consist of firt, caliche, and some mixture of caliche and sand.
