It is basically a high top rugged sneaker-boot. More sneaker than boot but extremely comfortable out of the box. Flexible at the toe joints and no hot spots so great for casual wear or a light trail walker. Now if you step on a rock you will feel it which is kind of the nature of the sneaker-boots soft and flexible sole. If you want something more stiff and resistant try one of ultra variants.
Material, quality and exempllant price, equal to its operation, meets all product expectations as in optimal publication and functions.
Comfortable, decent fit, definitely waterproof (my sweating feet prove that), but they make a weird “thwack” sound with every step - pretty annoying. Ok, I’m not trying to sneak up on a bear, but they’re sooooo noisy…. Think they can hear me coming from miles away.
Very light and c comfortable to work in.
Not a quality shoe…..does not compare well to my other Salomon boots….I have 2 other models purchased about 8 years ago that are the best…but not these….
