Great all-around trail running shoe
Great Shoes!The 8mm drop is perfect for longer distance.The cushioning is noticeable yet the shoe remains stable and secure. My longest run was just under 50km and I see no reason why I can’t go much longer with these shoes.I’ve clocked 140km so far and the shoe looks new!The grip gives you confidence in wet and dry. Not a mud shoe but not intended to be.The toe box is wide enough to let your toes swell up during longer runs.The fit is snug and precise especially but not as snug as the SLab which suits me better. The shoe does not feel bulky which is great for more technical terrain.Only comments being that grit does get into the shoe, and yet it does not drain water as well as it could. Lastly, it takes a while for the shoe to dry.Overall definitely 5 stars! I have been looking for a 1 shoe does it all and this one delivers I think!

Great trail shoes!
These shoes have served me well for over 100 miles now, they run on the firm side, but I like that in a trail shoe. Grip is great on anything but deep mud. Highly recommend recommended!

Comfortable and light, but lack in durability
I had these shoes since July of 2017 and I am mostly satisfied with them. They are very light at 9.7 oz, which means that you will hardly feel their presence. The comfort also results from the combination of the tech that went into this new design. Salomon lists Compressed EVA, Energy Cell, VIBE, and OPAL as part of what forms the midsole, which means that the shoes provide the most cushioning, energy return, and better load distribution to reduce pressure on your feet. The thing that bothers me is the mesh upper. The right toe has a nice little hole even though I don't use them beyond a 1-2 mile daily walk around the city. I think they are very comfortable overall, but not durable enough to last more than a year at the most.

Incredible Trail Running Shoe-All Pros and No Cons
This is my first pair of true trail running shoes and I absolutely love them! Had been running in ASICS Kayanos and there is no comparison. They are true to fit. I’m running trails in the foothills around Boulder, CO. Trails are semi-technical and craggy. They have great control in both wet and dry conditions.The footplate excels at protecting your mid and forefoot when navigating over golf ball sized rocks. Raced Pikes Peak Ascent and Manitou incline and felt very confident. The Salomon’s are such a great product, I actually switched my road shoes to the Salomon Sonic RA Max.

Great all around trail shoe
Great support and comfort even if you get a few rocks from the trail in the shoe. Used these for a Spartan Beast in West Virginia and had no real discomfort from the shoes. Apart from being great trail running shoes they're great for hikes as well.
