I've had a lot of different Solomon shoes. Some of the newer models don't compare to the old but this one really works well. The extra cushions great on the trails but the bottom tread makes all the difference. Much better than the Hoka and some of the other shoes that I've bought in the past year. Great on the trail really comfortable good arch support.
I bought these shoes locally from a running shoe store. I have many friends that praise the Salomon brand, but I don't see why after owning these shoes. I've had them for roughly 3 months now and wear them daily for 3-5 mile walk, so roughly 400 miles on them. All my walking is on forest or gravel trails. Tread wear is fine, but the layer of tread is already separating from the sole of the shoe. My previous shoe was the Altra Lone Peak, owning 4 iterations. They're known to not be along lasting shoe and yet they outlasted this shoe.Avoid the ThunderCross and spend your hard earned dollars elsewhere.
