Very confortable
Very well made shoe. I have worn Xa Pro's for years. This model - V9 - seems to run a bit larger especially in the toe box area and does not feel quite as supportive overall as earlier versions. Might try a smaller size.
I have wore Salomon’s for years for hiking. This pair disappointed me somewhat and has left me looking at other brands of hiking shoes. It seems Salomon’s design quality has gone downhill in recent years. You’re wishing you could just buy the old pairs from a few years ago. The fit just isn’t as good on these newer shoes. The laces are weird and seem fragile. All summer this year I was doing 18.5 miles a day four days a week on mostly dirt roads. So I wore several pairs of shoes out in the past 9 months. I tried several different models recently and have been a little disappointed. I did keep this pair however.
They run a little small and are not as comfortable as the trail hiker version of the same shoe. Wish I bought those again. It is light and much cooler than the water proof hiker. I really wouldn't want to trail run in these.
