Best hiking boot I have ever purchased and I will purchase it again as soon as mine need to be replaced. The color is not my favorite but the shoe is great. It doesn't feel bulky and heavy, it feels very light and you can kind of "feel" whats under you without there being any discomfort. Also, I have plantar fasciitis and I have not had to add any inserts into these and was able to use them on a 15 mile, NC mountain, ton of inclines and declines kind of hike without having a flair up. Maybe wear thick socks when it's cold because they are kind of breathable, but overall I love them. And they are a pretty good waterproof as long as you aren't like knee deep in water.

Nice boot but larger than expected
Very light and comfortable boot used for hiking trip. I typically wear 8 or 8.5 and size up to 9 for running shoes. I did so with these and could have stayed true to 8.5 as they feel a bit large in toe box. 8.5 not available so I stuck w 9 but feels a bit big even w a heavier sock. Still a quality boot and appreciated the grip on the trails.

Was excited to finally find Salomon’s at a reasonable price, but should have trusted the comments they are not built like other versions. Very wide around the ball of the foot, it kind of feels like a clown shoe. Would suggest sizing down. However, they are very lightweight and Goretex waterproofing seems to work well. Easy to clean. Overall still happy with purchase
