Very Cushioned Sole, works well
These replaced my old Saloman Outpulses which I had been unable to find again this year. This is definitely a different "kind" of shoe. These have alot of cushion and I honestly don't feel things like roots and rocks through them like I did with my old Outpulses. That said I do miss the more agile feel of my old shoes. It's a trade off that has given a more comfortable walk since these seems to have a slightly wider footbed. At least they do fit my narrower heels that normally slip and slide in most shoes. The waterproofing also seems to work well. Been using for over a month and no issues.

New favorite running shoe
LOVE THESE RUNNING SHOES! The gortex keeps my feet warm and dry in the frigid, snowy conditions in upstate New York. They are very lightweight, very comfortable and have a supportive fit. Excellent grip in the snow and ice. I have a narrow heel and wider metatarsal and these fit perfectly. Generally wear a 7.5 and this size was a perfect fit. Was worried it would be too small and initially ordered a size 8 which was too big.

runs narrow
Fit was on the narrow side, which I liked. They aren't boots, but did keep light wetness out. The soles wore quickly. The lacing pattern was weird because of differing types of holes that the laces pass through. This made them seem to have uneven pressure on the top of the foot. comfortable foot base
