Better than my Merrell boots
This is my 1st pair of Salomom boots. My 1st pair which were Merrell boots wore out after 7yrs. I was looking for a light, summer, orthopedic boot for work. As I work 5 to 6 days at 8 to 12hrs shifts I need good boots. Found these and gave it a try after reading all the reviews. Yes the boots run a little bigger. I'm an 8.5 us. I bought size 8 and they fit perfectly as long as I don't wear thick socks. If you do round up. Yes these are strictly summer shoes!!! They will let water in if you step in puddles, they are very airy, and light weight. In my opinion they are lighter than my Merrell summer boots. I love how soft the soles are as I have plantar fasciitis. My feet don't hurt from stading and walking while at work. Definitely 👍. Hopefully these will last me another 7yrs.

Perfect hiking for PNW
I broke them in just walking around the airport before flying to Oregon to hike. In the wet, mossy, steep rocks and trees and mud, these were the best hiking shoes I’ve ever worn. Stable. Grips. Doesn’t track sticky mud. Comfortable. Perfect fit.

Beyond the call of duty
I purchased these as light hikers for the summer months, specifically for a trip to Yosemite/Sequoias. I’ve been struggling to find three season hiking boots that don’t give me blisters and ended up empty handed before a backpacking trip. I had no choice but to try these out. I’ve tried them on a few short hikes and they were very comfortable, but I did get a few minor blisters that didn’t cause pain. These Salomon’s just endured 19 miles with 3200 feet in elevation gain with a heavy pack and they were great! That’s asking a lot for these boots, but they came through! I could definitely feel the soles are a little thinner than a traditional hiking boot, but it did not cause any discomfort. The trail was wet and muddy, and as expected, the boots did get wet, but were always dry by morning. I hope they hold up for a while!

Breathable and comfortable
I was looking for a boot to replace my leather Ahnu's that are no longer made, and was told that these boots are great. They are very nice, fit correctly for my size, and do not hurt my feet. They are amazingly breathable, great for summer hikes, but my feet got cold, when fall began. I hiked around 60-80 miles, carrying a pack this summer, and they still fit well and look good. The only issue I had with these boots is that cheatgrass poked through the breathable material, and there delays as I needed to stop and pick out cheatgrass seeds. These are really good boots, but I miss my leather Ahnu's. I wear a size 8.5 and have very high arches. These arch support in these boots is very good.

Comfort in a hiking boot
I was skeptical as I ordered these boots in wide. They are extremely comfortable! And feel like a sneaker I have worn and broken in. They are stylish and I love the colors. Some boots are not very aesthetically appealing. I plan to hike all over in these this summer on various terrains. These boots feel airy and as though my feet will not overheat in summer temperatures. I will update as I wear these boots on my hiking adventures.

I love this boot
I love this boot. It hits my ankle in the correct place and is great not only for hiking but to break the man I wore them to work a few days also comfortable for that period. The color is vibrant and is perfect for me because I love break colors. The shoe is a bit wide but that is not evident when you look at it which is perfect, so when hiking it will be great when your foot swells due to activity.

Overall, I like it
A solid offering in the lightweight hiking boot category with good traction on sandy scree - an alternative to a trail runner for those who prefer a mid-top without the weight of a traditional boot. Better traction than the (also good) Moab. Seems to be holding up so far in the So Cal mountains. One annoyance is the top layer of the insole on one shoe sometimes starts to scrunch up a little on long, steep descents: a nuisance if I have to stop and fix it.
