Love these! Affordable, attractive, fit well.
I am happy with these and love them more than the other stretch ballet slippers/shoes from this brand- mostly love the addition of the thin suede insole. I love how thin these are because they fit snugly without feeling like they are tight or binding. I honestly think that you should be buying 1 full size below your street size. Example, i wear an 8.5 in almost all shoes, but in these, the 7.5 is a 39, which is perfect. You can see the outline of my foot, it stays on, i will not likely rip or break through anytime soon with regular use. I also like the ‘vamp’ on these- i don’t like the overly deep vamp that many cheaper ballet shoes have- These come just below the base of my toes, which is just personal taste, but it think it looks and fits better. The ones that come up farther on the foot usually have too much fabric and look sloppy on my foot. Again, that’s just personal preference tho.*wish the seller would list the actual shoe size and not just the US shoe size, as it would help pick out size. For example. As i said above, the 7.5 is a 39. I ordered another shoe from them in 8.5 because it recommended street size and it was a 41!!??*It’s hard weeding through reviews for dance shoes because most people don’t seem to have been fitted for them before. Many first time buyers, or people who just want the gear for their class. Not as many dance shops around, but one can also google for how to find best fit to help. Ballet shoes are supposed to be snug (yes, tight). Toes should be flat, not curled, but no extra space beyond that (extra fabric can cause tripping and snagging your foot on the floor, etc, but also, it doesn’t allow to see if your toes and foot are pointed correctly). If you are just looking for a casual shoe (around the house?) this is a DANCE shoe, and doesn’t give support for walking. The pads on the bottom are place there so that they pad the balls of your feet when you are in eleve, releve, so yes, they might seem too far ‘down’ on your foot. Really that placement is for turns/pirouettes to provide padding, traction, and even to protect the shoe during these movements.

Great beginning dance shoe
Yes although they are only canvas, they work well. I got a size smaller and that was perfect.

Great for casual users
I’ve been adding more ballet-inspired movement into my home workouts, and these slippers have been perfect for it. I was a little nervous about sizing, but the fit is spot on. They are snug enough for support without feeling restrictive. The suede sole and stretch canvas make them flexible and lightweight, and they move beautifully on my wood floors. They feel like an extension of my foot and are very breathable, which is exactly what I wanted. They are affordable also, and I’m looking forward to seeing how they hold up over time.

Update: Below. Probably A Stretch-Canvas Convert, Sleek Look
Update: I do love these. They're perfect. I like them just as much as my leather slippers. Unfortunately, I was right. GET YOUR REGULAR SIZE! These are too small. I wear a 10 and I should have gotten a 10. They are true to size. They're Great and would have been perfect in the right size.Original review: It's possible I should have listened to my inner voice which said to get my regular size. I'm not certain. But, I decided to measure my foot as suggested and chose the size that correspondended to their size guide. They may be too small. I don't know... However, I did not want these popping off my heel either and my foot is also swelling on and off from injury (I'm sure it's noticeable, pic in b&w). The bottom sole is made of suede, so that should stretch too.I've never purchased non-leather ballet slippers either and so I'm not familiar with stretch-canvas, but they are surprisingly comfortable. I may be a convert. I thought they'd feel restrictive, but they don't... especially with the split sole. They look sleeker and I needed flexibility. They've got great stretch, and I wanted them to fit snugly at the same time, so I may have done the right thing by going down a half size. I'll have to update. Regardless, the quality is remarkably good, and I will use them. One thing is for sure, my old slippers need to be buried in the backyard anyway. Two years ago my dog used them as a chew toy and I kept using them, of course.

Great value but runs about 1/2 size small
I am a Yoga Instructor, and I also enjoy barre and Pilates. I used to dance and wanted a simple, affordable pair of ballet shoes to integrate a little more ballet, than what’s done in most barre classes, into my home, hybrid practices of yoga, barre, ballet, and Pilates. I was worried about the size at first. These are a 36, and I am pretty much *exactly* a 5 1/2. I think the size chart listed a 36 to be the right fit for women who wear a size 6. Plus, ballet shoes should be a little on the tighter side. To my surprise though, they fit perfect! They are nice and snug but still incredibly comfortable. I have a combo of wood and tile floor I can practice on at my house, and they glide beautifully on either surface. The quality of the item was excellent for the price— especially if they continue to hold up.
