The ORIGINAL Danish Clog!

I am SOOO happy to find this clog. I used to wear the Dansko clog (this same design) but once Dansko changed to Chinese manufacturing, their clogs were uncomfortable and cheaply made. I wandered in the wilderness of wearing running shoes, etc and have begun to have severe foot pain on account of not having good support. I just recently read that Sanitas are the original design and as soon as I put them on my feet, I knew I had found my beloved clog! This is the best shoe I have ever worn...the natural shape of the arch and the space for the lift in the toes make it so immediately comfortable. It is ergonomically superior to any other shoe. I have worn these now for a full week at work (I am a Physical Therapist) and already have noticed my foot pain (which had been interfering with my activities) is now GONE! I hope Sanita never discontinues this clog!

Hard on the feet

The inner sole was incredibly hard on the bottom of my feet & the top of the shoe was too small (tight) & impliable. I work on concrete floors & need comfortable support. I've had Dansko's in the past - wore them for years - & knowing these shoemakers were related I tried Sanita as an alternative. Never again - I returned them.

Sanita vs Dansko Ingrid style clog

Although they look similar. They fit very different. Sanita Ingrid clogs are much more comfortable if you have a wider foot and higher instep. Danskos are more narrow and the top of the clog, goes further back on my foot. It did not stretch out enough to make them comfortable. I am in the medical field , and on my feet all day. I had both the white and black color of Danskos. Each pair fit different, but not enough to feel comfortable. I finally gave them away and bought the Sanitas in those colors. The sizing is the same in both. The top of the shoe is not as long and wider , so much more comfortable for my feet. At the price of these shoes, this is important to note.I have several pair of the full Dansko clogs. They fit very different than the Ingids and are very comfortable on my feet.

Great arch support for long standing jobs

overall, i love these shoes for work. Im a chef and spend 10-15 hours a day on my feet on a concrete floor. i also have high arches in my feet. after doing alot of research I chose these over Danskos because many of the reviews posted by people with high arches. the quality of these is excellent, and i am confident that they will last me at least 18 months. The only con- these shoes have a break in period. It takes a solid 3 weeks to get your feet accustomed to the dutch style clog. They are not made to be cushioned and soft. They are a work shoe for people who are on their feet many hours and need something supportive. If you are not on your feet for long periods of time or want a shoe that feels pillowy this is not the clog for you. i will be replacing my current pair with this exact same one when they need it.

Questionable soles, great customer service at Sanita

These replaced the same model Dansko, whose soles cracked and fell apart after about 10 years of wear. After only a couple of years wear, the same thing began to happen to these. I complained through Amazon, and the seller contacted me and suggested a couple of repair shops. One of these was on the East coast and the other on the West coast, and I sit here in the middle, so that did not seem like a good option to me. I then contacted the manufacturer, and after a little emailing back and forth, they replaced the shoes. I don't know if the soles on the new shoes have the same problem, but I can vouch for the customer service at Sanita. I have a couple of other Sanita shoes that have soles made of different materials, and they are wearing very well. They do fit a little more snugly than the Danskos, but that actually helps me a little.

Great shoes

Comfortable, nice arch support, size is right. I like these as much as I've liked my Danskos, these feel a bit roomier in the box area. Great seller, fast shipping and just as described.

Way too small in the instep compared with all my other Sanita Ingrids. What happened??

I'm so disappointed. I've been wearing these for years and always loved all my Sanita clogs and sandles. Not only was the instep a good inch lower so that I could barely swueeze my foot it, but the foot bed didn't line up with my arch like it always does. Either it's a major error or they changed the design. Had to return as they actually hurt to wear for even a minute. Also, it should be noted that this is the shiny, hard, box leather, not the oiled leather.
