Sansha size 12 N shoes review

I am not a ballet dancer. I just like to wear these around the house like slippers. They keep my feet warm and after awhile the leather molds perfectly to my feet. So I might like my slippers a bit looser than a real ballerina would, so keep that in mind.I am a woman's size 8-9 (US sizing) in most shoes. Typically an 8 1/2. I went to an actual store and tried these on to get the right size. My old pair wore out so I ordered them here. So I knew the sizing beforehand. I need a size 12 for these to be comfortable. An 11 would probably be fine also, if I were dancing in them. I have AAA narrow feet (as narrow as they come!) so I order the N (narrow) version. They fit my feet very well. A little (tiny smidge) wide in the toes. I would recommend trying different brands and sizes on in a ballet store and then sneaking away and ordering off Amazon if you can. Also, if you care, these shoes have a matte leather look. My old Sansha pair (same brand, size) are a more shiny leather. Could be use caused the leather to shine more, but I doubt it. The matte look is very nice, and gives the slippers a more light pink look. It is leather for sure. Not canvas.

RUNS SMALL!!!!

I read all the reviews before I purchased my slippers about how they run small. I normally wear a 7-7 1/2 shoe, so I went with the size 8, thinking that I would be ordering up enough for it to fit. Boy was I wrong. It was way too small in the big toe, and dug into my heel. I do like that the straps are custom fit to your feet (downside is that you have to do it yourself). I will be re-ordering in a size 9 as soon as I have some extra spending money. I gave the smaller size to a friend with smaller feet (size 6 1/2), and they fit her perfectly. If you order, order at least a full size up, if not a size and a half.

First time buying ballet slippers

This was my first time purchasing ballet slippers and I have to say that I really love them! The color is perfect and the quality of the slipper is great. I listened to everyone else's posts and ordered a size up from what I normally wear, my street size is 7.5-8 so I ordered a size 9, and I have wide feet but these fit great. You do have to sew the straps in place but I thought this was nice because you could adjust them to wherever you want them so they are comfortable. I would definetly recommend these to anyone.

The sizing is very small

When my daughter saw these shoes, she fell in love with the look. I bought her a size 9M (her normal ballet size), but they were much too small. I returned them and bought a 10M, believing (based on the other reviews) that they would be a good fit. However, the shoes arrived last night and are still too small in the toes. We have now returned the 10 for a size 11, but the shoes will now not arrive in time for an audition for my daughter. We have yet to have her dance in these shoes, but for all the trouble we've gone through, we're praying an 11 will fit.

My First Ballet Shoes

I just got this item and the shipment was pretty fast. I live in Kuwait and got it in just 3 days!!! The packaging was alright nothing too fancy just the slippers in a plastic bag inside a box. I got a full size up as recommended by others, I usually wear a size 36 so i got the 7 (b(m and it fits perfectly! A bit tight from the front and just right from the back, but I'm guess this is how it's supposed to feel. Overall comfy and DEFINATELY RECCOMENDED!

Painful shoes!

These shoes cut very painfully across the top of the foot along the edge. I read reviews and followed instructions before buying these so I knew I needed go up a size from my regular street shoe size. It seems like they could have been yet another half size larger because they are a tad short, but that wouldn't solve the problem of them cutting so deeply across the top. Perhaps if I had gotten them in a wide width? I don't know, I've never worn a wide width shoe in my whole life so I didn't think to try a wide in these. Judging from how badly they cut into and bruise my feet I'm not even sure a larger and wider size would feel entirely comfortable still. These shoes were a waste of money.
