These shoes are great! They are slightly snug

These shoes are great! They are slightly snug, but I know they will stretch. I am and 8 1/2 to a 9 in street shoes and chose to get an 11. I was afraid the 12 might be too lose. I was right. The 11 is perfect. They will stretch a little and fit perfectly.

A nice product

I purchased the Sansha tap shoes for my 12 year old daughter. As other reviews state these shoes do run small. My daughter wears a 6.5 street shoe and we purchased the size 8 for her. The shoes are narrow so even the size 8 felt tight. When we ordered the 9's they were too big. I would suggest buying 2 sizes bigger than your street shoe size. If you wear a half size it may be difficult to know which size to go with. We ended up keeping the size 8's for my daughter. The taps sound very nice and the shoes seem to be made very well.

terrible quality

I got the tan in this shoe because it was marked down to nearly 75% off of the cost of the black one. I have to wonder if it is a quality issue. I took the shoes out of the box on arrival and the left already had cracks in the surface. Within a minute of tapping in them, a chunk of the upper the size of a dime was peeling off the left shoe and the toe tap was coming unglued. Weirdly, the right shoe seems to be of much better quality. Where the left has creases and peeling, the right looks fine. Super disappointed.

Followed Review Advices, Fits Perfectly!

I am picky about my tap shoes, and I have always loved the split sole Oxfords. I've never had a problem with sizing before, but I'd never used Sansha's before, and the sizing chart confused me. I followed the advice of several considerate reviewers, and bought the size 10 M. I wear a size 7 to 7 1/2 street shoe, and the 10 M fits -PERFECTLY-. For ladies who wear a solid 7 street shoe, the 10 may be a tad big, but you can wear socks and there's no problem. For ladies who wear a solid 7 1/2, this will fit perfectly. I've been tapping in them for two weeks now, love them, very comfortable, true to size, and a great product.

Great shoe as long as you size up.

I spend my summers working semi-professionally with a musical theater company, and I was looking for black oxford taps to take to classes and auditions. However, the tans were on sale for about half the price, so I turned down the black shoes and ordered the tan. My shipment came promptly and I was pleasantly surprised to see I'd been sent the black ones, even though they hadn't been listed at a sale price! I tend to be in between a size 8 and an 8.5, and since a lot of reviewers were saying to order up several sizes, I bought these in a size 11. They're a tiny bit on the snug side, but once they stretch out I'm sure they'll be just fine. The taps also sound nice for the price. Excited to try these out in rehearsals!

Broke to fast

Bought the shoe for my child for her tap class in February. In May her metal part of heel fell off. Got upset because all this dance staff is not that cheap. Also what interesting is that the skin on the shoe started to come off pretty fast as well. My other daughter has different brand and her shoes are fine.
