They are comfortable and very lightweight.
I just got these today and put them on right out of the package. My professional dance history is in ballet and modern dance with just about everything else you can include. All I can say is ballet slippers have come a long way since I was wearing them regularly.I’m not sure what I feel about The microfiber body, but the shoes fit immediately and they do have a reinforced canvas toe, which is super because my super strong feet always pushed through the toe. I don’t hate that the elastics came pre-sewn because they do fit my high arch. For a super high arch, you might have to switch out the elastics.I also think it’s wonderful that the dance shoe industry has finally realized that a wide woman’s foot, which is not the same as a fat foot, is the same as a men’s foot as terms of width. So far these feel very comfortable and like they don’t have to be broken in. I also love that the split soul includes a tiny bit of padding to support the metatarsal and front of the foot. I actually got these to wear as I continue to rehab from a hip replacement when I don’t want to be barefooted, and I’m starting to do more dance face movement. So far so good!
