I bought these for my son who had very wide feet, I had to stretch them big time and have him get them wet in order to wear them. All sanuks are like that though. I own about 6 pairs myself. There is no arch support, but again in this brand there never is. Soles are soft and you don't slide around. Very comfortable once broke in. We even put them in the washer from time to time
