Great Trail Runners.

Decided on a whim to pick these up as the Amazon Deal of the Day. I was looking for trail runners, and the price was too good to pass up.I couldn't be happier with the shoe. It looks nicer in person than in pictures, and has a pretty sharp looking style. The shoe fits true to size, and has a pretty roomy toe box. Nothing worse than a shoe that fits, only to find your toes are just a little too crammed. The shoe requires very little break in time, and is comfortable right away. The shoe is flexible, and not stiff like some other trail runners. The tread is substantial and should work great on slick surfaces while on the trail. The only complaint that I have is the tongue. When putting the shoe on there isn't a good spot to grab the tongue to keep it out of the way. I end up putting the shoe on, and then adjusting the tongue. Minor annoyance is all, and once adjusted the shoe fits well.I'd buy again for sure.

Remarkable Lateral Stability

I'm a big guy (6'1", 290lbs) and I work on my feet all day long. These shoes have quickly become a favorite -- they take a pounding and provide excellent support. They may be the most laterally stable shoe I've ever worn. I am frequently depressing stiff pedals and lesser running shoes have so much internal shift that my foot almost slides off the internal sole. Not so with these shoes. My feet experience almost no internal shifting. I can easily imagine this would translate exceptionally well to trail running or navigating any other uneven surface.Plus, they're as comfortable as any road running Saucony shoe I've purchased. Combine the comfort and stability and this shoe is a real winner.

Comfortable shoe with a nice tread - But NOT water proof

I have to start out by saying I'm very picky when it comes to running shoes. I normally purchase Mizuno road running shoes because they always fit perfectly. I play a lot of disc golf so I wanted to get a pair of trail running shoes to help with the wet grass and wooded courses that I play on. The price was much lower than the other brands so I thought I would give it a shot. These are advertised as water proof and that would have been helpful since it was one of the selling points for me. However, this is FALSE!!!! As others have indicated, (shame on me for not reading the reviews more closely), only one style is water proof and the description doesn't change when you select the styles. I wish I would have known this prior to testing them out and finding out the hard way.The reason I did give these an Okay rating is that they are very comfortable. They don't need any break in time. They have a nice tread and the fit is exactly as expected (same fit as the Mizuno's. If not for the false advertising, I would give these a 5 star rating. I looked at them closely after playing several rounds of disc golf and running some trails. They don't show any signs of wear at this point.**Update**It's been 2 1/2 months and I really love these shoes now. I bumped my rating up to a 4. These shoes are wonderful. I can't get over how well they've held up to the wooded trails and pounding they've sustained. I'm still a little miffed about the waterproof issue, but I would buy these shoes again. I'm tempted to get another pair now just so I can rotate two pair knowing the weather is going to get nasty soon and I can let one pair dry out while I use the other.

I'm exceptional pleased with this product

I'm exceptional pleased with this product. Fit and finish are excellent and the sole and heel of this shoe is both lightweight and extremely supportive. These shoes are replacing a pair of New Balance shoes which were comparable in price. The New Balance shoes were never comfortable for me as I felt as if I had no sole support. It felt like walking barefooted.I go to the gym regularly and spend much of my time doing aerobic machinery. These shoes work very well in that regard, as I do treadmill and other running in place type activity.A strong recommendation.Rick Brown

Great Value and Look, But Too Small

If these were the size they're supposed to be--and given the great price and appearance--these would be rated 5 stars. Saucony has long been one of my favorite brands because of the combination of function, appearance, and price. These shoes do well in all 3 categories, but the only way I would be able to wear them is without socks (not a huge problem), but even then the right shoe would still be too small for my big toe.I'm going to wait until tomorrow morning when I would normally go out with them--and when our feet are a bit smaller--and see how they are. If they're the same then as they are now, they'll never hit anything but carpet for a few seconds, and they'll go back into the box for a return. Too bad, they're pretty sweet.

Poor experience

My brand new Men's Grid Excursion TR10 running shoes have been in my possession for 14 days, and I have run in them 12 times. I noticed today that the seam along the top inside of my left shoe now has about a 1" tear in it. Still usable, but indicates incredibly cheap workmanship. I only wear these shoes for running 3-4 miles per day and then they are put away until the next time I run. I'm 71 years old and have been running for 50+ years. I've never had a shoe tear like this. I would have given this shoe a favorable rating so far if this had not happened. Of course, i do not have the original box it came in which appears to be requirement for a return. Not sure they would take it back anyway.

Very nice.

I run in Saucony Rides and these feel the same but with a trail tread. Very nice.EDIT: I am STILL using this same pair. That includes training for and completing a Ragnar trail race late in 2017. Amazing longevity, even on the hard rock hiking here in AZ.EDIT 2: It is now April 29, 2018 (almost exactly a year since my review) and I am STILL using his shoe. Yes, it LOOKS like it has been used a year on dusty trails, but it has held up GREAT. Even the tread is still grippy... GREAT shoe!
