High quality support shoes

The bottom line IMHO that Saucony guide 13 are wonderful support shoes. I owned a pair of guide 10 for the past 3 years, ran ~800k in them and was very pleased. Naturally I bought their successor - the guide 13.I'm 6 foot (75 kg). I land mostly on my forefoot or mid-foot. My runs are usually around 10k. I find this shoe perfect for my running style and distance. Most impotent feature for me in a support shoe is... well... the support :) I'm glad to report that I find this shoe just as supportive as the predecessor. The ride is firm, I would argue that it is even a "very firm" shoe. I like that in a shoe, but if you are looking for a plush ride this is not the shoe for you. The shoe arch support is great, without scuffs. I would define it as none intrusive. The achilles heel padding is plush and hold my ankle firm. Road traction as very good. Aesthetically it is a very attractive shoe. Lacing is upgraded from previous model, I like it more now.Sizing: I read reviews that this years model is a little tighter so I ordered the 2e version. Previously I ordered the standard d width. Since 2e is perfect I suspect that the d version would have felt a little too tight.I think this is very good supportive for shoe for over-pronators who like a firm ride and looking for a mid/long distance running shoe

My 3rd Pair

This is my 3rd pair. Yup, that's what I said, 3rd pair (of the exact same shoe, size, and color). I'm a woman but for running a men's wide fit better so this is what I go with. The width is great. There is no tightness around the the toes or the arch area. It's a little roomy in the heel but I adjust my laces to correct that. They offer enough support and cushion... but they are not plush. I would say they're middle of the road in terms of cushion. I run on the concrete (NYC) so the wear is pretty fast (I can get about 250 miles vs when I'm on a treadmill and can get around 400). I'm not a professional or top athlete, just a fat girl who loves to run and these shoes are great.

VERY COMFORTABLE, LIGHT WEIGHT

GREAT PRODUCT, LITTLE EXPENSIVE. THE ONLY ISSUE IS I WAS NOT SURE IF I HAD TO BUY A 11.5 WIDE SHOES SINCE I HAVE WIDER FEET. LEFT PINKY TOE HUTS A LITTLE BIT AFTER WALKING FOR MORE THAN 45 MTHS. HOPE THIS WILL RESOLVE SOON SINCE I JUST BOUGHT THIS 2 WEEKS AGO. BUT I HAVE USED A DIFFERENT MODEL OF SAUCCANY BEFORE AND IT WAS PERFECT. BUT IT DOES NOT SPECIFY WHETHER IT IS A REGULAR SIZE OR WIDER SIZE. THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD PAY SPECIAL ATTENTION TO THE SIZE AND SHOULD LABEL IT CLEARLY ON THE SHOES. OTHERWISE, IT IS A GREAT PRODUCT AND I RECOMMEND IT ESPECIALLY IF YOU WANT TO FEEL THE DIFFERENCE. BUT DONT GO WITH YOUR REGULAR SHOE SIZE AND IT won't FIT. DO A TRIAL RUN ON THE STORE BEFORE YOU BUY ONLINE.

Good for beginners or people that require a lot of shock absorption

I use to run a lot when I was in highschool but I stopped being very active years ago(5-7years) and recently decided to get back into it. I am starting out with just getting my endurance up with jogging throughout my town. My work shoes were hurting my shins so I decided to get a pair of actual running shoes. I think these might actually have a bit too much cushion on the bottom of these shoes. I notice my balance is worse while wearing these - I am not use to shoes with a lot of cushion. These do however help with my feet pronation issues a lot I didn't even need to put inserts in them. The cushion helps me get back into it at least while jogging or running - while walking I hate these shoes. They actually make me feel slower while I walk I think its because of the cushion. I am use to feeling the ground under me but with these shoes it feels like im walking on a sponge. This is not a bad thing while I get back into it and my bones and muscles get use to the impact again it really helps reduce shin pain.Id say these are good shoes and they are quite comfortable however if you like to really feel the ground under you to help lift you off these shoes might not work for you and its possible they might actually slow you down. Someone that needs that extra shock absorption like me; go for it these will work for you.Bit of an extra point - these shoes fit a bit tight in the center, I think its too help pronation of the feet to provide extra support too the foot. Just keep that in mind.

Huge improvement from Guide ISO2 but DON’T over tighten!

I struggled to get the Guide ISO2’s to fit. My right heel was always loose, which resulted in a bruise. The Guide ISO2 also had a looser toe box requiring tightening. With the Guide 13, I need to make sure the laces aren’t too tight due to narrower toe box. Heel is nice and snug. My normal size is 10.5 and this is what I bought. My advice for the Guide 13 is to not over tighten. With the Guide ISO2, I couldn’t get them tight enough and I have slightly wide feet wearing the standard width. Compared to the Guide ISO2, support and cushioning are superior in every respect and the shoe feels way more durable.

Very comfy and supportive shoe

I bought these to replace a pair of Guide 10s and they definitely met my expectations. Feel more supportive and more cushioned then the Guide 10s. They do seem to run just a little bit smaller. An 11.5 in the guide 10s was a comfortable fit. These 11.5 s are a snug fit. Wearable but if an 11.5 is a snug fit for you in older Saucony's I would go up to a 12 with these. All depends on the padding in your socks. Also the color in person in definitely not as silver/blue as it appears in the photos. Really leans to the green side.
