Very interesting/fun shoes. (to experiment mid-foot strike)
Me: 5'8 & 170 lbs with very wide feet (4E), mild/moderate overpronater, beginning/intermediate runner (15 miles per week) at 12:00 - 13:20/mile. No previous injury. The size I bought : 8.5 M (perfect fit)Favorite shoes : Mizuno Inspire 10 SW (25.5 Japan size "Super Wide" (4E)), Pearl Izumi (PI) EM Road H3 (8.5 M)Other shoes I wear : ASICS 2000 GT (size 8 4E), Saucony Glide 7 (8 3E), Nike Structure 17 (9M), Adidas Supernova Sequence 6 (8.5 EE), Mizuno Elixir 8 (8.5 M)Read a good review at RunningShoesGru. Given the decent price ($70), I decided to give them a shot. I am glad I did.(PRO)They are fast shoes. The shoes are fairly fast with heal strikes, but if you switch to mid-foot strikes, they get VERY FAST. I have so much fun with Mirage. You can experiment mid-foot strikes. (I am a heal striker). and still work OK for heal strikers. (Heel -24mm, Forefoot -20mm)LightGood price point for the quality. Cost/Performance ratio is high.(CON)They are HARD. (I like firm shoes. But even I find Mirage hard.) If you like cushioned ride, Mirage is not for you.For overpronation, the support is minimum. For my right foot, it is adequate. But for my left, it is just barely. If you have a severe overpronation, they won't work.As indicated above, the shoes truly shine with the mid-foot strike. They work for the heal strikers all right. But because of small heel-to-toe drop, the heal strike is not ideal. Feel somewhat unnatural.(My take)I like Mirage. They are fun shoes. The best thing about the shoes is that I can run "normally" (heal strikes) and then I can switch to mid-foot strikes for an experiment for a while, then I can return to my normal run. I was amazed how fast I could go, when I switched to the mid-foot strike with these shoes on. (from around 12:30/mile to 10:20/mile). What a blast. They won't become my go-to-shoes. Too funky for that. And they may not be suited for long distance (too hard). But for tempo runs, for experimenting the mid-foot strike, or just for having fun, they are wonderful. (Think this way: if ASICS GT 2000 is Toyota Camry, Mirage is a 400cc motorcycle.) Mirage has made into my rotation.

These shoes are the best I've ever run in
These shoes are the best I've ever run in. Order a half size up! They run small. I usually wear a 10.5, and an 11 in these fits perfectly. I have a really wide foot too (2E in other brands, such as asics) and these provide more than enough room in the toebox. These are the only shoes I've run 15+ miles in without developing any sorts of hotspots or blisters on any part of my foot. They provide good support and stability too, surprisingly good for such a minimalist design. Transition into them slowly though if you're not used to low drop shoes - they'll make your calves yell if you go too fast. But yeah, best shoes ever - so light, and they really encourage a natural running motion while still providing good support for mild overpronation.

Great shoe for forefoot, mid foot runners with a little support
My go-to shoe for running. Moderate support shoe with low rise heal, ideal for forefoot or mid foot runners looking for a bit of support against over pronation. I switched to this shoe after running barefoot or minimal for a few years. My ankle prefers the pronation support. The foam midsole is not over cushioned, which I prefer. It is stable and gives good ground feel. Low rise allows more of a natural forefoot or mid foot strike.Only drawback to these shoes is the minimal approach to rubber on the tread tends to limit their lifespan, but on the other hand they are very lightweight.

The Best Running Shoes
I have purchased these a total of 3 times!! Awesome shoes. These converted me from being an Asics runner to a Saucony runner. Comfortable, durable, true-to-size, these running shoes are lightweight without sacrificing comfort/padding. The sole is soft and offers great support. These can take 400-500 miles before needing to be replaced, though the outer fabric may look worn before that time comes. Very satisfied with these shoes.

firm but nice
While this is a fairly low-drop shoe (4mm), don't think of this as a minimal shoe. The upper feels more like a typical running shoe, which isn't a good/bad thing, it's just how they were designed. The shoe feels firm to me (compared to some of the brooks pure series), but it feels pretty good as well. I'll probably use these for shorter runs (sub 7 mile), tempo runs, speedwork. I don't expect to run long runs in them, I'm on the fence as to if I'll race in them (typical distance is 1/2 marathon), but I only have 20ish miles on them so far, if something changes I'll update the the review. Very good shoe for what it's designed to be, probably a bit more support than I'm really looking for, but I like them enough that they stay in my training arsenal.

Switched from Brooks
Just got these a few days ago and I love them. I usually go straight for the Brooks PureCadence however, the 3rd gen. PureCadences aren't as good as their predecessor. I decided to give these a try and I'm glad I did. The shoes fit extremely well and the heel to toe offset is perfect to encourage a more natural stride. These are perfect for people with flat feet or those who require more stability while running. I was skeptical at first, but after a quick 5 mile jog, I was convinced that I had made the right decision to switch. The new iteration of the PureCadence did not feel as comfortable and seemed a bit wide in the toes. Anyway, I love these shoes and would recommend anyone looking to give these a try to and see for themselves. Also, I shopped around and Road Runner had these for $109.00 at the store and Amazon beat the price by $30!! Can't beat that!
