Not good quality

These shoes are comfortable and very stylish however, all of the blue pads on the bottom of the soles have come off. I have had to glue them back on. I suggest not purchasing these unless you want to glue your pads back on every few months great brand poor purchase.

EDIT: Uh Oh! Previously: These are great!! EDIT: so great i got a second pair.

EDIT UNFORTUNATELY NEEDED:You can read my glowing review below. These are my second pair. After a couple months, the tread in the sole started coming apart, adding an extra note to my gate. Yeah, I found it kinda neat musically, but everyone I walked around was annoyed. I eventually pulled the loose piece off. Many more have followed. A lot of people feel funny about a person with holes in their shoes. I also got a hole in the toe, much quicker than with my first pair.I tend to hold grudges when it comes to these global rotten companies, in the business of making money, not shoes. I won’t get more dramatic than that, as I’ve come to understand that in some industries, there’s no better choice. Still, I’ll likely never by Saucony’s again. (Again, not trying to be dramatic, but I don’t want to waste my money. There are plenty of options out there. I see these are 50% off now. I’ve had cheaper shoes last longer than this second pair of The Rides. … maybe if I heard they axed all their upper management and board of directors. Something crazy like that, or if they were free or only a couple bucks. Thats why I say never again. It’s not a boycott, but it might as well be)Now I have to find the new companies saying that they’re different, when only their marketing is. Modern problems, I guess.——————-_I sent away for a pair of Karhu ikonis. I really liked them. They were soft but supportive. They looked cool. But…. They were a bit narrow, and the arch support hit in front of my arch.I sent them back for these, and it’s really worked out. The shoe fits my foot right. Its also soft yet supportive. Plus! These have a noticeable bounce or rebound, which feels pretty awesome tbh.I stair climb (real stairs and escalators). Some website recommends these. I can’t remember the organization, but they recommended these, new balance 1080s, Karhu Ikonis, and a few others, for stair climbing.I got thes for about 60 bucks less than the Karhus. It’s a bonus.Stupid point: Karhus are more of a conversation piece or more exotic. Many years ago, sauconys were this way, but now they’re universally known. That said, I still think they’re pretty cool.I’m using them now and they feel so good! I’m usually a normal width, but lean wide. The Karhus were too narrow. The Rides fit just right, to the point that I considered sending them back wides. I’m just saying that you might want to try a wide if you sometimes need to buy wides. They’re wider than your pumas, of course. This last paragraph seems pointless. The width is in the normal range.I’d get a kick out of it, if a fellow stair climber read this and it helped them out. Best of luck to you regardless. I hope you find the right pair.EDIT: so I bought a pair of the New Balance 880s after these. I wanted to love them, but it was as though the insides were reversed. None of the support hit my foot the right way.I don’t rarely by a shoe twice, but I didn’t want to screw around. I got a boring grey pair this time. They’re fine, but the first pair I had were black, with white and silver trim. Those were much doper than these great ones. They have peach aglets on black laces. Very cool.I don’t care that my new ones look boring. They feel great!

Love Saucony but not sure about sizing over the years

Women's sneakers are almost always too narrow so I normally get a man's size 8 since it's a D width by default. I've always bought Sauconys as they fit my weird feet best. I still wear two pairs I got about 15 years ago that are in decent shape but decided it might be time for new ones. The half price mark down on these convinced me.I notice that many of the newer styles have the mesh pulled straight to the toe providing less depth for my hammer toes. I was worried these would do that so I ordered the Ride 16 in men's 8 Wide thinking it could compensate. As usual, they fit great for the most part, but don't feel like a man's wide. My bunion sticks out over the sole stretching the mesh. It doesn't hurt thanks to the flexible material, but if these were leather or the material were any less stretchy, it wouldn't work at all.I had to replace the insole with a thinner one with more arch support. The insole it comes with is contoured, but doesn't have additional arch support other than what's built into the rubbery sole. The insole is also made up of some sort of bubble foam, which I hate. I can feel those bumps when walking and find myself constantly wondering what's stuck in my shoe. I do worry that the rubber sole won't last. I saw the reviews where the hard rubber parts peel off, and estimates of how long the soles will last say something like 500 miles. Seriously? That's like a year for me, and probably about two months for an athlete. Clearly sneakers aren't made like they used to be considering I'm still using my 15 year old Sauconys.Another feature I miss is the loop on the tongue to thread laces under to keep the tongue in place. If I had a way to keep the tongue from getting in the way, I could slip into the these hands-free without bending to tie laces or adjust the tongue. I sure wish Saucony would make a few hands-free lace up styles!I fell in love with the Marigold/Lava color combo - a bold move for someone who invariably buys neutrals. The marigold color is actually much brighter in person - almost glows. It's a bit much but I'm getting used to it. The red is actually closer to burgundy.Overall I love them even though I have some reservations. The point deduction is for the uncomfortable bubble foam insole and the men's W not feeling like a wide shoe.

It grew on me

5’11 , 176lbs. I usually run about 6 to 7 miles at a time. Here is my thought after 2 months with this shoe.Initially, I found the midsole felt a bit too firm, and its width was narrow for me. Although I had read plenty of reviews in runners’ communities indicating this shoe is far from cushiony but rather firm, I still didn’t find it very comfortable at the beginning. In fact, despite having narrow feet, I found the shoe too tight, and my soles even became sore during the first run. The only thing I found great was its lightness. However, it totally changed after a week of breaking in.This shoe is still not the most cushiony one out there, but there is enough cushioning to be felt. These are still a bit firmer ones on the market, but I now find it perfectly balanced between comfort and responsiveness. I know many people prefer ‘hyper cushiony’ ones, and I was one of them, but thick cushions do not always guarantee comfort in the long run. Now I find this shoe comfortable and reliable even for hours of running. While some people may expect more from this shoe, I believe it's a great choice for any type of runner in this price range ($55 ~ $65).
