Love these shoes!

I am hard on walking shoes and wear them out every year. This year, when I tried to buy yet another pair of Saucony Excursions, I found that they were no longer available. So, I began the lengthy hunt for new walking shoes. I tried six different shoes of various brands including the more expensive Hoka Bondi 7 and Brooks Adrenaline GTS 21. These Saucony Triumphs were by far my favorite, and my typical size fit perfectly. I speed walk for an hour or more almost every day, generally over uneven terrain, so I give my shoes a real workout. I have a low outside ankle bone and many shoes come up too high on the outside making the shoes uncomfortable, even with inserts to lift my foot. Other shoes exacerbate my tendency to shin splints or cause an old foot sprain injury to throb. These Saucony Triumph 18 shoes were perfect! I love the laces that keep the shoes snug without tugging when I tie them and stay tied without double knotting them. And the shoes provide cushiony comfort and support throughout my foot while flexing and breathing to prevent injury and overheating. I also bought a pair of the Saucony Triumph 19, and while I like the colors better on my Triumph 19 pair, the 18s seem to feel a little better after a long walk. These Triumph 18 shoes by Saucony are my favorite all-time speed walking shoes!

6 stars! Perfection!

Cushioning is incredible. Fit is incredible, it's perfect. I usually wear Asics Gel Nimbus (top of the line cushioning shoe), but this is possibly even more comfortable for me. I hope I can find this again when I wear out this pair! Really well-made, sturdy cushion. They have achieved perfection. CHANGE NOTHING from here, Saucony! This is it, you're done. Just keep the factories running and putting out this product, just as it is. Perfection and worth every penny. I'm so impressed.

Not The 17s, But A Solid Shoe

This review is primarily for runners. After using my last pair of Triumph 17s, I had to finally make the move up. Too often, shoe makers make changes that no longer work for consumers. That was the case with Asics that led me to go another way. The 17s were really comfortable, especially the toe box. Did a lot of research and couldn't really decide, though I certainly wasn't going to go for the 19s and pay upwards of $150, which is crazy (and I did that once already to get introduced to the line). On looks, the 18 would appear as roomy as the 17s, but when you put it on, it definitely feels more fitted. I got a different pair of 18s and those required some runs/miles to break them in, definitely (at least for me) not out of the box ready. I didn't have to do as much for this shoe, though maybe because my feet have already adapted to the change. If you thought the 17s just worked and have wide feet, I'd suggest going with wides on the 18.Those issues aside, the shoe is still as solid as the 17s. I used on outdoor runs, on the track, and the treadmill, and my feet and legs feel good. Of course, I much prefer the 17 and if I could get more, I would, but the 18s are good second choice. I purchased the Future Black, which took some breaking in, and the Charcoal Sky - felt much better, but again, maybe my feet were used to the shoes, or maybe it came from a different place and was manufactured better. If you plan to buy several to keep on hand, I'd recommend trying each out just to make sure the fit is right; I've learned the hard way, even though all shoes of the same name should fit the same, stinks when months later, you find out otherwise. I'm rating 4/5 because I just feel the shoe doesn't feel as roomy as it should; the 17s were great. I hope Saucony goes back to that for the 20s (I've heard mixed view on the 19, which is why I decided to go with the 18s and hope when I need new shoes, the 20s will work out, when released).

Excellent walking shoe!

I tend to wear out walking shoes pretty fast, typically walking a hole into the sole of the shoe where the ball of my feet are. I have been faithful to Adidas NMD_R1’s for a couple of years but they wear out so quickly, usually having to buy a new pair every 6 months or so. I have been researching walking shoes that have more cushion in that area,in hopes they dont wear out as quickly. I just went for my first walk in these shoes and I am amazed at how comfortable they are! They fit like a glove immediately, no need to allow for time to break them in. No blisters, no soreness. I’m officially converted. From here, the test will be if they wear out fast or not. We shall see.

These Are Awesome Shoes!

I supinate & have high arches. I have had a really hard time finding shoes that I can walk miles in daily. I have tried the Hoka One One Bondi 6 & 7, Brooks & many others. These are the best I have ever gotten. The arch is perfect for my feet. the heel is really padded. The forefoot could have more padding but it is still the best shoe I have had in a long time. The Saucony Triumph ISO 5 in nice but it doesn't hold up for long wear & this one beats it hands down. If you supinate or have high arches like me you should try these. Also the toe box is nice & roomy.

Say goodbye to Metatarsal pain

Great shoes. Did a ton of research on running shoes that would help with my wife's metatarsal pain after trying a few gel inserts in her current budget priced Asics. Turns out you do get what you pay for and finding the right shoe is way more important then we thought. Can't say enough about the max cushioning. Her foot pain disappeared overnight. If you're willing to accept leftovers in a color that might not be your first pick, you can often find the best "top-of-the-line" sneakers at budget prices and enjoy all the real world benefits associated with them. As we age we are getting more sensitive to the sometimes subtle differences between brands and and price points. This was a great find and perfect solution for a nagging foot pain problem.
