No orthodics needed

Literally the most outstanding shoes I’ve ever owned. When you slip them on it feels like they wrap around my feet. I have flat feet that collapse because I have zero arches. They almost kept me out of the military. I must wear custom orthotics in every other shoe or trail shoe I have worn in the last 10 years. This shoe has such good arch supports, I don’t need a single orthidic to use them. These are very comfortable and I’m walking in them 6-14 miles a day without additional support. They are durable and even have good traction even on some of the hills I’m climbing. They are running shoes but do state park trails just fine. I don’t write reviews unless I’m beyond ticked or beyond impressed and this time I’m beyond impressed. You will not be disappointed.

THE option for midfoot and internal arch collapse prevention

Saucony Guide shoes were recommended to me by my physical therapist years ago now, and I have only worn them exclusively ever since. The massive plastic inner foot bolster makes my feet feel "normal" and really showcase how different gait is when you aren't mashing into your inner arch like some of us do when we move.Eliminated foot pain and knee pain during work, exercise, outdoor runs. Absolutely phenomenal. Generally cool colorways, too, some editions have better offerings than others. These are also the last "normal" generation of guides before the 15s and beyond, which are closer to Hokas due to the giant sole shape, which I personally do not like.Update: 14s still the king version even now. Still feels the best, unfortunately the newest versions of the Guide have become more of a max cushion style shoe so I will be buying this version until they stop making it.

A fantastic pair of shoes

I have owned 3 pairs of these and have loved them. I've ran over a thousand miles between these three pairs and I'm very happy with the results. They are comfortable, durable and hold together well. The cushion feels optimal and they fit my feet well. Highly recommend, I keep coming back to these as my daily runners!

Firmest Guide since the Guide ISO

These are a great looking version of Saucony’s Guide series, with a simpler, cleaner look and thick, spongy laces that AREN’T TOO LONG (Guide Iso), and don’t easily come untied on their own.But they are also the firmest footbed of any Guide since the Guide Iso. Significantly firmer than the Guide 13, Guide 10, and Guide 8.If you’re coming directly from the 13 like I was, you’ll notice the difference right away, and it takes some getting used to. It was so firm at first that I seriously thought about returning them, then looked online into whether or not I should try breaking them in, and if the ride would soften over time.Thankfully, it has, and they’re proving to be a good running shoe. The uppers are very lightweight and so breathable that they remind me of Nike Huarache type uppers. The upper is soft and comfy, though, and needed no breaking in, while providing excellent ventilation and good space in the toe box.The heel counter on this one is pronounced and so soft and almost squishy that it’s easy to crush down if you don’t hold onto it while inserting your foot. I prefer a bit more stiffness back at the heel, but I can’t argue with the comfort and softness. We’ll see if it holds up over time.I’ve been very happy with Saucony’s Guide line of shoes over the years, and the fact that they’re available in different widths as well as sizing. They’ve always been a quality shoe for running thats worth the money.

Long life and comfortable

I’ve been through a lot of walking shows that haven’t lasted 100-150 miles. These are just at the 150 mile mark and still have plenty of life in them. I’ll be purchasing more like this in the future. Extremely comfortable as well
