Awesome Trail Shoes

These trail shoes are the most comfortable shoes I have found. Wide toe box but the shoe still fits snug around my foot. Virtually no break-in period. These are ready to go right out of the box. Good grip and very responsive. I have tires several other brands but none fit as well and were as comfortable as these. 5 Stars for sure! I wear a size 10.5 and these were true to size. Can't wait to put some serious mileage on these

Good Trail shoe

Great trail shoe. It does its best in wet to damp conditions. Dry conditions with small rock the tread tends to lose bite. All said, I'll buy another pair when mine are aged out.

Great for Trail Running

I've worn these for plenty of trail running including two 50ks and a 50 miler. The fit is perfect - not too narrow and plenty of room in the toebox (for reference, I found the Speed 2s to be too narrow, but wear a medium width in ASICS). They're extremely lightweight and comfortable for trail running. Great grip in all conditions. The only thing they didn't excel at was road running. My last race had an 8mi section of road in the middle and the rest trail. My feet were killing me by the end of the road running. I've worn them through stream crossings and in rain and they remain comfortable when wet and dry out fast. Couldn't ask for much more.

Great shoe, just heavy/ bulky

I bought the Xodus after reading all the great expert reviews about this being one of the best for technical, long distance trail running shoes . The shoe does have everything. Good cushioning , rock plate and a great fit. Here is the downside… They are heavy and bulky. They have a high stack height and pretty stiff shoes without a lot of lacing options to lock them down. Conclusion: This is an amazing hiking shoe. Probably one step down from a hiking boot but it is still a shoe. You can definitely do technical terrain and they will definitely protect your feet! However, they are way to big and bulky to run in . I really think you would place a lot or pressure on your knees and back with running in these shoes ( similar to trying to run in boots) . I really would have a hard time believing you could run long distances and ultra runs in these (despite expert reviews) . Highly recommend these for hiking/ technical hiking. For speed and distance trail running , check out the Mad River TR (amazing shoe) or Peregrine for a little more technical terrain .Hope this helps

Built for long trail runs

First run out of the box was 20 miles of singletrack and my feet feel great! These are a very comfortable shoe offering good protection from roots and rocks and solid grip. While not minimalist, they feel light with great energy return on the trail. I will definitely use these in an upcoming 50K trail race.

My favorite hiking shoes - highly recommend!

I have arthritic ankles from an injury, and cushioning is a big deal to me. The more cushioning, the less pain I have later, after a walk or a hike.My feet are also susceptible to overheating, so breathability is a big deal to me.I also like hiking in nature, scrambling up hillsides, etc. Grip and stability is a big deal to me.This shoe has all of those qualities 10/10. I spent days researching before purchasing, and I'm glad I chose this one. It was super comfortable out of the box, but I think it's gotten even better after a few months.I also purchased the Saloman version of this shoe (their "ultra" marathon trail shoe) and while they are close, the Saucony wins in ever department except style (I like the looks of the Saloman better.)

Ultra shoe at great value

Bought these for longer distances. True to size and great shoe for cushion definitely geared for distance. If you don’t like stretching laces, consider buying some new ones, as there is stretch in the,, so more of a loose feel. Color is bright, so be sure you are good with vibrant yellow. This is a 1st gen shoe, so the value was right where it should be. Would/will purchase again.
