Great shoe! Especially for mild pronation...
I had chosen another color variation of this shoe before. I was immensely pleased to see that the base, along with support at the ankles was able to correct a mild pronation (tendency for the foot to turn inward during walking) for my grandson's feet. When wearing them, his feet were perfectly aligned. Win! When the soles showed mild wear, we moved up a size and the fit is still great.My grandson chose the color himself...he loves the rainbow style! No way are these too girly looking. He's gotten many compliments. Personally, I love the velcro closures. He can put them on himself at age 4. Another win! I would say that this is a great shoe for growing kids because kids should not wear shoes with worn soles (if at all avoidable). Frankly, these don't seem to have particularly long-wearing soles. But, of course kids feet usually grow faster than soles wear out. Overall, 100% recommendation.

Nice looking shoes but tight to put on
I bought a 9.5 toddler size and they fit my kid. She was outgrowing size 9T but 10T was too big so these shoes were perfect. They also looked nice and were on sale at the time. The shoes do look narrow and have a small opening making it tight and hard to put on.
