My son's been complaining that his shoes and a new pair I bought are too tight (even though there's still length in them still). So I bought these and was hoping a wide pair would solve the issue. And it definitely did, he said these are way more comfortable, and feeling them on him, they fit perfect! I don't know how wide his foot is compared to other kids that wear wide, but if your child wears a regular size and is complaining about discomfort, definitely give this one a try.Also going to add, he's only worn these for 2 weeks switching with 2 other shoes, so I cannot contest to durability yet. But this one's holding up better than a different one that I got at the same time
