Great for just walking- Supportive for my jacked up lower back, high arch and underpronation!
I was in need of a good pair of shoes for walking 2-3 miles per day as I have some pretty severe lower back pain caused by scoliosis, spondylolisthesis (forward displacement of my L5 vertebrae) and stress fractures in my L4 and L5 vertebrae. I also have a high arch in my feet and underpronation. After doing some research for the best shoes for arch support and underpronation that wouldn't run me upwards of $200, the Saucony Ride 8's kept coming up on the lists. Long story short, these are the best sneakers I have ever owned. They are extremely comfortable and give me the support I need and have been missing. They're very breathable and light on my feet and I can honestly say that my "after walk" pain has ceased since I have been using them. Granted, I have only had these sneakers for about a week now, but I have walked almost 20 miles in them and so far they're wonderful. I would buy a pair of these again without hesitation. Thanks, Saucony, for making a quality, comfortable, supportive shoe that doesn't break the bank!

Great running shoe that won't break the bank!
These shoes are great! I'm a beginner runner and started out walking and thought it was a good idea to invest in some good running shoes. I have no arch at all and these shoes are ideal! The first time I wore them my feet were a bit sore, but I coughed it up to "bare through the stage of breaking my shoes in". After my second run, I had no problems. It's like running on air. I would highly recommend these shoes to any avid runners. I went to the running store and was measured first before I purchased these shoes online. I normally wear a size 9 and she measured me for a 10/10.5 running shoe because your feet do tend to swell while running. I went with the 10 and they are perfect! If you would like a comfortable, inexpensive and cute running shoe this is it. I tried on some other name brands such as Brooks but the Brooks did not fit me well at all.

Wide footed woman...
If you have a short, thick, wide foot like mine, these are the shoes for you. I have a rough time finding stylish athletic shoes in a wide in the stores, and was nervous about purchasing on line without being able to try them on first, but took the chance and glad I did. There's not a whole lot of arch support, but they are pretty light weight and well made. My pair cost me $109.00, a little less then store bought prices, but so far are worth the money. I did the size comparison chart that Amazon offers and ordered these based on that, they are pretty true to fit. I work in a hospital so I'm on my feet all day and have not had a comfort problem with these at all. I will definitely be purchasing more of these in the future.

They don't LAST
Comfortable pair of shoes, nice colors and design, lots of room in the toe area. My only complaint is the mail service; it took almost 2 weeks to arrive AFTER it was shipped.UPDATE (5/27/17): It hasn't been a year since I bought these shoes, and I have 2 holes in the toes. One hole in each toe that appeared 6 months after I bought them. I run/walk an average of 22 miles a week. I won't buy these again. The light weight mesh material on top of the shoe does NOT last.I have bought Saucony running shoes for the past 15 years and they've lasted. These shoes did NOT live up to my expectations. They should last longer than 6 months! Back to the drawing board guys!

Absolutely Love, Love, Love Them
*** Update ***I loved these shoes so much that my daughter wanted the exact same pair. I got them for her for Christmas and she absolutely loves them just as much as I do.These are my first pair of Saucony shoes and I absolutely love them. I may never buy another brand again as they are my favorite pair that I have ever had. I love the color, red and red with black is my favorite color and I just love they way these look. I do TONS of walking every day and where I live in a small rual town there are not many sidewalks and most roads are not paved, so I'm walking in dirt with lots of rocks. They are so comfortable. I love them so much that my daughter wants a pair of Saucony for her next pair of shoes and of course I agreed. You've gotta try a pair, you won't regret it.

Didn't hold up as expected
I was a fan of this model 7-8 years ago and a fan of Saucony in general. In the last 5 years, I have gravitated more toward Asic and Salomon because I had been doing a lot of trail work. I got these at a good price, so I figured I would revisit the brand. After about 2 weeks and a few wears, the bottom bits on the sole at the ball of the foot started to fall off. Total disappointment! I do not have any use for shoes that are held together with Gorilla glue and honestly expect more from a brand like Saucony. The shoes themselves are comfy enough, if somewhat wide in the toe box, and I like a wide toe box, so that says something there. I just find myself putting on my Asics GT 2000 way more frequently than I choose to put on my Sauconys. Also, on a picky note, the back heel portion rides really low and catches my sock if I am wearing ankle socks. I know that is nit-picky, but I can imagine it would be annoying for someone mid run. In conclusion, I will likely stick to Asics in the future. The soles coming apart in a few short wears really turned me off.
