Now these are some quality shoes. Nice thick leather with tuff metal hardware. Simple classic design with comfort to match. Includes an insole that looks looks it could be wool on the bottom?? Anyways it’s comfy and hella warm. Size is spot on, wear a 10 in adidas boost, 10.5 in Nike and a 10 here. 100% waterproof and looks exactly like photos, great boot that should last longer than typical
I go through three pair of these a year. For my feet they are almost a perfect fit. I can get about 750 miles per pair on rugged terrain. My only complaint is that on the last couple pair some of the lugs are tearing off almost immediately. Maybe vibram is using cheaper material in the sole now?
It is very difficult to know if particular hiking boots are a proper fit by only walking around a living room.Unfortunately Amazon as opposed to places like REI does not allow actual hiking use to determine correct sizing.Only trying them out in the field really informs you. So, these Scarpa boots were either too small or big. The first pair were returned - too small. Ordered next size up and assuming they must be correct size went for a hike. This time size was big - they now need 2 extra foot beds in them for right fit.Thankfully with full leather the Scarpa Terra GTX will be waterproof-able after the Gore Tex fails after 2 years.They are generally well made, not too heavy and reasonably comfortable.The tread provides good friction but holds on to much debris.
After a lot of research I bought these.They are great for hiking and day backpacking. I’ve had them a year, wore them regularly in cooler months. No problems.Great product.
Very good fitting and comfortable boots! No break in needed!!!! I do question the scratch resistance and durability of this boot though. I think they might tear up somewhat quickly due to my line of work. As an actual hiking boot tho, I'd say order this 'right now'! Double check the European size charts!!!
No break in time required, arrived ready to hike. Spent 5 days in your Grand Canyon with 35 lb. pack, no blisters or hot spots on my toes or feet. Would highly recommend.
Classic look, durable, great service, well made, I'm glad I spent the money to get quality. Don't cheat your feet.
