Great fit, comfortable and great leather!
The most comfortable boots I have ever tried. I have a bony foot with a narrow heel, wide forefoot, and bunions. The only shoes that are truly comfortable for me are running shoes, round or square-toe cowboy boots, and some hiking boots. Add these. They are also gorgeous-very retro (1940s leather hiking boots look). Have not tested in weather yet, but I have faith in Scarpa. I had a great pair years ago that I wore to pieces. FYI, I am 9-9.5 in street shoes, 10 in Brooks running shoes, and the 10s in these were too big. The 9.5 is perfect. Only note--the heel area is a bit hard. I got some inserts, and they are now perfect. That issue is likely attributable to my bony feet, however.
Went with this shoe up Mt. Kenya. Put in some insole that made the fit comfortable. My feet were warm in the shoe. Coming down from the summit I realized the grip is very sketchy, not firm. Used the shoe again in a very thorny, hot and bushy terrain. Nothing went through the boot, only this time I forgot the insole and the bottom of my foot suffered a lot of friction “burns” wasn’t comfortable at all. This particular hike was in very hot weather and my feet were boiling. All in all good boot, think they are best for cooler climates. I’m a size 39 and went for a 40 and 2/3s id say get a 40.5 if they have that size.
Delivery right on time, as usual with Amazon.Wife loves her new hiking boots. Thanks again Amazon
Bought these for my wife because they fit perfectly. She can wear them right out of the box with no rub or blister marks at all! Her favorite boots, mountain ready out of the box!
I’ve never been happier with a hiking boot purchase. I got these for my trip to Scotland and they did not disappoint. I have wide feet and find most hiking boots to be way too narrow/tight. These were comfortable right out of the box AND… they fit my orthotics without making my foot feel squashed in the boot. Huge win. Wore them hiking Ben Nevis and all around the country and I’ve been wearing them a lot at home lately to walk my dogs now that the weather has turned. Always comfortable (especially with a pair of merino wool socks) and my feet stay dry. Highly recommend.
I have the worst feet ever. I purchased Merrill hiking shoes which were way too heavy. These are much lighter weight. I’m pronate on my left foot so I’ll be adding my inserts. I purchased 8 1/2 to account for thicker socks in the winter and swelling in the summer. I usually wear an 8
