I think since the materials, the shape, and the style are so different this shouldn't be called the Vapor anymore; it's a completely different shoe. I had to size up a half size, no biggie except that now the hole in my old vapors may be beyond repair by the time I get the right size. To their credit, I think this new design will be more comfortable out of the box.
The shoes are fantastic! The shoe box itself though was crushed and falling apart when it arrived. It was a good thing the shoes were for me and not a gift!
Came in the mail and was all squished up. The box had been sitting outside in the rain and I didn’t know the inside got all wet. These were supposed to be a gift for my sister so I hadn’t gotten around to opening them and they’re so squished I can’t get my hand in. I can’t return them now and I can’t give them as a gift. I can’t imagine anyone will want them- they’re useless. Don’t know if they were manufactured like that or if they sat too long in a wet box. Disappointed and frustrated because I thought she would love the colors.
Perfect fit and great quality!
[Climber of five years; mostly bouldering.] I LOVE these shoes. I've purchased three of them (both the new version with pink and the prior teal version). I've worn the straps and the laces and keep them on for up to three hours. I have a big climbing community and everyone agrees, these shoes are worth the price.
Despite following the directions and reviews the sizing was way too small, probably by a full size or more.
I was sent a completely different sized shoe than the one I ordered; in addition, the shoes were scuffed up.
