I love how the open and close works on these. We'll see how it lasts though because the string is pretty thin, but maybe it's durable. The shoe itself is very comfortable. My previous shoes were hard, so around the rim would dig into my foot as I pedaled, but these are fitting yet soft. I'm really happy with my purchase! I hope the next time I need shoes, since I tend to wear mine out, they're still around. hint hint. :)
I did a heap of research based on my particular needs (wider foot and sweaty) so the shoe needed to be just right. The mesh around most of the front of the shoe addresses both my wider foot and the need for breathability. Even with the size chart, I had to do a good bit of reading reviews in hopes to get the sizing right since many people indicated it ran small and to size up. Typically I am a 7.5 woman's size and I ended up ordering a size 40. It is a bit big for me and next time I would go for a 39, but because the shoe is so well made I am not sloshing around and decided to keep the 40 because I wanted to get cycling. This shoe has additional cushioning on the inside back ankle area which ensures a snug and comfortable fit. The breathability is top notch and over time I have grown accustomed to the BOA button and like that it is easily adjustable. You get what you pay for and the excellence of this shoe proves it so. Again, they could improve upon the sizing chart, but if you are okay with ordering and sending back for just the right size, then I highly recommend this cycling shoe.
It's about time someone came up with a really good indoor cycling shoe. I'd been using a super stiff, outdoor shoe for my Zwift rides (indoor bike racing and workouts). They quickly were trashed by the sweat and nastiness that can occur when you're doing hard workouts on an indoor bike. These Shimano shoes have been great! Super comfy, they almost feel like a slipper, with a recessed cleat set up that makes it easy to walk around while you're getting set up for your workout. If you plan to use at a gym, you could easily walk in them getting from the gym to your car.From a performance perspective, I found the sole stiff enough for my indoor rides. I wish they made them a bit stiffer, but that's more of a personal preference than a concern. And the adding venting/mesh on the top of the shoes makes it a lot easier to dry them after a work out. Advice there: use a boot or shoe dryer to help speed that process along.

These are the easy to put on and take off cycle shoes I’ve had! Click, click is all!! This also FITS like my normal shoes. I’m between a 6-7, mainly 6.5 for sneakers or boots. So I got a 6.5 and they fit perfect! I used to have a 7.5 in a different brand (starting getting loose), soooo idk there.Has a little wiggle room in the back for more thicker socks and to not give you blisters. Plus the for the toe area, my feet do not hurt when I’m standing on the bike in 3rd position. Feels like a hard toe protector is built in.Fits SPD cleats, so make sure you have those as this does NOT come with them.
Most importantly -- Pay attention to the Shimano Size Chart. I'm a woman who wears a size 10 and ordered a size 43 that fits beautifully. On and off, I have suffered from knee and foot pain after riding my indoor bike. Since I would quickly recover, I wrote it off. After a while, I began researching possible causes, made additional adjustments to my bike, etc., with no improvements. Finally, I read an article about these shoes. After buying and wearing these shoes, I've experienced no more pain and can ride longer. Would highly recommend this purchase to others because they are definitely worth the price.
I have sent three pairs of spin cycle shoes back and this pair is it! They are comfortable and fit perfectly. I may even get another pair for road bike. They fit as expected which is odd other shoes were way bigger, but oh well, it led me to these amazing shoes. I am so happy, had to write a review immediately.
