The SHIMANO SH-XC300W High Value XC Mountain Bike Shoe is designed for versatility, making it a solid choice whether you're racing cross-country or enjoying a casual ride to the pub. One of the standout features of these shoes is their seamless midsole construction, which removes the lasting board to minimize stack height and maximize power transfer. This means that every pedal stroke translates effectively into speed and control.
The shoe's surrounding wrapping upper structure enhances fit, reduces overlap, and eliminates those bothersome hot spots that can make rides uncomfortable. Additionally, the perforated synthetic leather composite upper provides not only increased breathability but also superior comfort during extended use. Weighing in at just 355g (size 42), the lightweight design doesn't compromise on performance.

The run small. Order one size up.
These shoes are for WOMEN. I thought the W stood for “wide” but it’s actually “women”. The listing and details doesn’t tell you this, but the box will when you receive it.They are seemingly great shoes, but not for this guy’s wide feet.
Good value. Stiff but still ok for some walking. Fit is true to size. Buy one size up for wide feet like mine. Easy to take on and off. Easy to adjust while riding. Good all round shoe. May not last as long as a $200 bike shoes.
I'm usually a women's 8. I have low-volume feet that are narrow, and a 7.5-8 size was good initially. It was a little snug, but when I tried them with my thicker, cycling socks, they pushed right against the side of my pinky toes. I would suggest getting one full size up for comfort
The right shoe fit immediately. It took a few wearings to get the left shoe to feel as comfortable. Overall, quite happy with the purchase.
Toe box is very short, had to return :(. Also the location of the BOA seems very unintelligent. Look elsewhere
