What the heck do you expect for the price??!!
These are what they should be. There isn’t much cushion, but these types of shoes aren’t supposed to have much. They’re inexpensive shoes, but mine are holding up just fine. I find mine very comfortable, and they fit my feet well. I did go up a size, just to be safe, and they’re perfect. They’re cloth shoes, not high priced running shoes - for what they are, they’re great. I’ve had trouble finding a pair of flats that are comfortable for me, and I finally settled on these as a last ditch effort (had a pair in the 1980’s!) and I’m glad. I’ll be buying another pair once my current ones wear out. I might even buy a pair for the office to have a set available. If you want all the bells and whistles, then pay for them - I’ll enjoy these while you do that.

Seller CANNOT get the order right
I ordered a size 8 black with black sole pair of these Mary Jane shoes. I immediately tried them on without looking at the size. They were big, but I figured they ran large. They were so comfortable. On the second day I wore them, my left heel felt a stickiness. At that point I checked the shoe thoroughly and found the inside cushion of the sole was already falling apart. That’s when I noticed they were size 9. I returned them for a refund and ordered another pair exactly the same. I made sure it was still marked size 8 and that they were the black on black. I get the new pair and they are a size 7.5. I tried them on anyway and they did fit, so maybe they do run a little big. Okay, great…however, I noticed two things. First, the sole was a red/brown color. I ordered the black sole. Second, I noticed the buckle had no hole to keep these feeling secure. It had the slide only type buckle. I put them right back in the bag and returned them again for a refund. It’s too bad this company can’t get it right. I will not waste my time trying to order another pair. If you order from this seller, BEWARE and thoroughly check you get what you ordered.

A surprisingly good fit...
I must say, I didn't read the reviews about the shoes unñtil AFTER they had already been shipped and got kind of worried because it was said that these shoes were usually returned due to a tight fit and God knows I have an extra wide foot so I was preparing myself mentally to return them but to my surprise, they fit just fine! So I give them five stars!

Sizing runs very small
Construction seems solid and durable. Unfortunately, these shoes run significantly smaller than the size guide indicates. Based on the size guide measurements, the size 12 should fit my feet comfortably. I could barely squeeze my foot in at all. Order at least one size up.

If you're looking for the old style that was really cute and comfortable, these are not it.
They run a size small. I had to send the first pair back and I ordered a pair in a size 9 but they were $1.00 more. That's not fair for an issue on their part, I've never worn a size 9 in any shoe. They're not like in the picture, those are the original style that I loved. The ones I got were very narrow and the tip of the shoe is tapered, not rounded at the top. I got them 4 months ago and didn't even wear them until two days ago. I wore them to run errands, they were so uncomfortable, I couldn't wait to get home and take them off. I was so disappointed in these shoes.
