Engineered for the kitchen, and well worth it.
If you are putting in any significant hours on the line, these shoes are well worth it. They are designed to keep you comfortably on your feet for hours.Solid, quality construction. The sole is thick and dense. The insole is comfortable with decent arch support... I threw some gel inserts in anyway. Now they're next level. Hardly sore at all after and 8+ hour shift. This style has a lower ankle and canvas top, like a skate shoe. So they are pretty breathable. The top is water and spill resistant and easy to clean. The sole has tons of channels and gaps on the bottom. Which definitely makes them slip resistant, but also gets crammed quickly with crud.Good thing the little cleaning tool they give you actually works really well!I've had 'em for a month now. No signs of soles wearing out yet. But when they do, I'll buy another pair.

A great bang for your buck
First ever pair on non slips. I use these in a restaurant; where mopping is done, food is spilled, etc. Have not slipped once, as expected. Cushion held fairly well, but eventually gave out after a few long months of extensive use. Look like vans, fit comfortably, take my word for it.

painfully uncomfortable
I want to give these shoes a higherrating but they are very flawed.1st, maybe because they are unisex, they are a bit tight in the front.2nd, the major problem is the innermaterial is very thin and wears againstthe back of the foot/heel.It seems to be the back portioncomes up too high and scratchesthe tendon. It also has a threading across whichhelps scratch the tendon. While threadingis necessary, a softer material shouldhave been used.I wore them once and felt fine, butupon putting them on the next dayit immediately hurt. I had to takethem off and put on my New Balancesneakers. The day after I wore them again. It still felt uncomfortable in theback, but felt it was tolerable. However, it irritated the ankle sobad, I later started to bleed. So they can't be used every day, which takes away a much of howuseful they are.3rd, they are made in China andthat alone is a negative factor.People can buy stuff made in Chinafor less at Walmart. However, I will say the overall designis better. The ones at Walmart haveelevated heels which will hurt inother ways. Most people don't know, but insideof most sneakers is a piece ofplastic against the heel. I have notyet seen the inside of this sneaker, but I suspect the plastic is part ofthe problem too.4th, they don't have great arch supporteither.Note: I compared these with my NewBalance and found surprisingly thatthe NB had a higher piece in the back.Which means it it totally a bad materialbeing used for the inside of the sneaker. m cc

10/10 would buy again
These are comfortable, durable and lightweight. I don't usually worry about getting non-slips for work but my new job has terrible floors. With these I have not had to change the way I walk on wet or dry floors. I can walk in the kitchen and on the line without worrying that I might slip. Almost a year later and they are still doing well, The soles are still in tact and they are only slightly discolored from floor cleaner. The fabric has not torn and worn in any areas. I will definitely rebuy these when the time comes to replace my current pair. For as long as they have lasted I do feel like they price is worth it.
