Just what I need
Using these for my Nezuko (kimetsu no yaiba) cosplay and they work perfectly. They are made out of wood, it’s smooth and finished. However the wood is NOT one whole piece as listed in the description. It appears to be the main part then the two heels (or prongs, not sure what to call them) attached to it because there is a seam between them (see last attached picture). This won’t be a problem, they are very secure. Since they are flat and made of wood, there isn’t much support so these would not be good for wearing for a long time. It’s listed as a 9-9.5, but I’m a 8.5W and it fits comfortably. The strap is cushiony and velvet so it didn’t rub and irritate my skin. Very good product

Awesome look for cosplay, not sure about the integrity
This product arrived late, so I never had the opportunity to use it, but I have tried them on and walked around a little. They are comfortable, if a bit "snug" because the straps hold your feet SUPER close to the wood (I found myself sort of jamming my feet in there). But they look great, and they feel pretty comfy, like I said. I am attempting to grade this product in spite of my disappointment with not getting the chance to wear them for cosplay during the 2017 Anime Expo. And the fact that this product was sitting in a facility >24hrs when and COULD have gotten to me on time. This was Amazon shipping. FedEx and Usps didn't have this problem. However, as far as the product itself is concerned, sure, take them for a spin. I can't attest to the functional integrity of the product, however, because I didn't really use them. But they look good and SEEM ok.

A reminder of an important life experience
I spent a couple years in rural Japan near Tokyo after the war. The wooden geta was the most common outdoor foot wear at the time particularly with the women. I purchased my pair out of nostalgia. I tried them when the package arrived but at my age, balance is a problem. It is like learning to ride a bicycle for the first time. Non-the-less I remain a proud owner of a reminder of an important sliver of time from my past.
