They do the job
These are great for walking around our property especially in the muddy areas. The foot bed is a nice compromise between supportive and comfortable and pulling on the boots past the uppers provides a satisfying 'thunk' when you get your foot in place. Size 11 is large for me but that's preferable to wearing a 10 which would likely be very snug, my regular shoe is a 10.5. I can wear thicker socks if I want but walking around in a slightly larger size isn't very uncomfortable. I love the fact that they're waterproof and I don't have to worry about leaks. The bottoms seem very thick and sturdy though it does take a bit of hosing to get the mud out of them. They have great grip and I'm really glad I got them.
The Showave ankle boots are a practical choice for anyone needing reliable footwear for chores, barn work, or quick trips outside. They closely resemble other big-brand neoprene rubber boots in both design and fit, but with a few notable differences. These boots run slightly oversized, which actually works in their favor—they are a little roomy for a typical size 11 foot, making them easy to slip on and off. Given that they are not offered in half sizes, you'll need to size up if you fall in-between. They don’t pull your socks down as you walk (a common annoyance with many boots, especially loose pull-ons), yet they still stay securely on your feet due to the tight but stretchy neoprene upper. The boots are easy to pull on, thanks to a helpful loop at the back. The included insoles are quite soft, but they lack support, resulting in a flat-footed feel. Swapping in a more supportive insole from another pair of boots made a big difference in comfort for me.The tread pattern is the weakest aspect of these boots. It’s modeled after a hiking boot, which is aggressive but tends to collect mud and debris rather than shedding it. For boots meant for muddy, wet environments, I’d prefer a tread that cleans itself more easily—my Bogs boots do a better job in this regard (see comparison in photo). With a quick insole upgrade, these boots become a comfortable, practical option for daily chores. They are a bit heavy and clunky looking for around town, but, depending on where you live, they could be your clean slip-ons to keep in your truck or back door for running to the store or cafe. They’re not perfect—the tread could be improved, and the insoles are too soft—but for the price, they’re a great value. If you need a pair of slip-on boots for the barn or garden, these are a solid choice that should hold up well. These win many points for value, but lose a little for the poor insoles and wrong tread for the intended environment.
These Showave ankle rubber boots are a reliable and comfortable choice for wet and muddy conditions. Built using seamless injection molding, they are 100% watertight and highly durable against wear and tear. The 6mm neoprene upper and mesh lining keep feet warm yet dry, offering great flexibility. I appreciate the anti-slip rubber sole that quickly sheds mud and the added toe/heel reinforcement for protection. These versatile boots are excellent for year-round farming, fishing, or gardening.
At first fit, I did not like the boaty feel; they run true to size heel-to-toe-wise; however, they felt loose with a good amount of headroom. Slipping in a pair of insoles atop the existing ones completely changed the fit for the better. The included insoles are a thin memory foam material, which was not enough support for me and kept my heel feeling loose. With a pair of supportive work bottoms, these boots feel great. You can slip them on with no need to bend over, and they are fairly lightweight. The slip-resistant bottoms have a thick, more neutral tread, so they don't seem to clump mud everywhere as boots with more aggressive treads can, and they walk easier. I really have nothing bad to say about these. They don't have any seams to tear, and the materials feel pretty durable. I have confidence they will last a while but will update accordingly. As with any rubber boot, these are not very breathable. It's been chilly here (~40 in Michigan), so the boots' warmth has been nice. They do a decent job at wicking regardless; in warmer climates or very strenuous activities, these do get sweaty. To my surprise, I've been complimented on them several times out and about. If looking for a no-frills pair of boots, these are worth every penny; just buy different insoles :)
I found the Showave Ankle Rain Boots to be a solid choice for muddy yard work and fishing, fitting true-to-size based on the provided sizing chart; the size 13 was perfect for me with a pair of cotton socks. The neoprene upper and rubber shell combination feels genuinely durable and maintained a 100% watertight seal during my initial test on a rainy day, keeping my feet dry and reasonably warm. I appreciate the comfortable fit, especially the arch support from the insole, which is crucial for the extended wear times I anticipate for gardening and being on the bank while fishing. A great feature is the anti-slip sole design, which performed well on slick, muddy ground, offering secure traction. The main drawback is a slightly stiff initial feel. Overall, for the value and robust waterproof performance, these are excellent mud boots that hold up to their claims and will definitely be my go-to all-season work boot.
