Never Walk In A Stooper... These Rain Boots... Are Super Duper!
Folks,I've owned galoshes and I've owned rain boots, I've even seen little plastic almost like shower caps some folks will put around their shoes (I live in Florida and it rains hard here often). But, I have never... seen a higher quality, better designed and more wearable rain boot than these Showave "Super Duper Boots"!Let me start off by saying that the presentation of these boots is quite well done. From the uniquely designed and fabricated box the boots come in, to their individualized dust sleeves and cheerful green interior once the lid is opened... It's a very pleasant unboxing.This company is trying to make a statement (they actually print their mission statement on the interior lid... they need someone to help them with English... But the intent is very welcoming).When I first pulled one of these boots out of the box and held it in my hands I thought to myself "these look like the kind of boots that a fireman or a first responder would be wearing". They really have that very official sort of feel to them... And they're built tough!The boots are created with the intent of being highly structurally sound. Although comfortable when wearing them, these boots are very protective of one's feet. The outer shell of the rubber boot is of a reinforced non-malleable consistency. If one were for example to accidentally drop something on one's foot while wearing these boots, it would likely simply bounce off.The composition of these boots has been well thought out. It is not simply a rubber boot mass manufactured. These boots are composed of a combination of:Rubber... (Reinforced highly protective outer shell).5 mm of insulated neoprene (SBR).2 mm of a breathable mesh lining (which helps to wick away moisture, keeping one's feet cool and drier).A braided protective layer (between the mesh and the neoprene).A highly resistant foam insole (ensuring soft comfort, shock resistance and arch support).An ergonomically designed foot-bed, to follow the natural shape and path of one's foot.And finally... I found this rather intriguing, the bottom of the boots have a pattern which causes them to be self-cleaning. (The out-sole tread is designed to release dirt, muck and mud as one steps forward... Flexing slightly, causing debris to fall from the bottom of the outer sole treads... That's some pretty neat technology).A great deal of planning has gone on... These are not simply run of the mill rubber boots!The sole of the boot has a high arch and extremely effective gripping striations all throughout the outer sole. These are not boots that you are going to slip in due to an inability to maintain traction. These boots will have you easily striding through the most torrential of rainstorms, as well as making your way through layers of mud or puddles... with absolute confidence in dry feet and legs... and fewer mishaps, such as stumblingWith regard to one's legs while wearing these boots, one should note that the top opening of the boot is very wide and remains in a wide open position once one's leg is inside the boot. (Please refer to my photos to see the amount of open space, once one's leg is inside the boot).This wide top opening will basically give you three choices: you can tuck a waterproof pant leg inside the boot, or you can wrap a pant leg over and around the entire opening of the top of the boot. Or, one could simply take some kind of elastic like a small bungee and put it around the very top, securing the open top closed, thereby preventing rainwater from entering the boot from the top.Incidentally, it should be noted that these boots are not simply relegated to bad rainstorms. I am an outdoorsman and spend time with my buddies fishing, hiking and camping. I will definitely be utilizing these boots in the wilderness... when it is not raining as well.I will be utilizing these boots when the weather is not inclement. They are absolutely perfect for fishing in a shallow stream or for making one's way through muck and mud in the woods. These boots are very strong and grippy, they will be perfect for trekking through the untamed brush.The boots run a bit large. I had ordered them in my normal size 11 and there's enough room within the boot for me to walk comfortably, and with a steady careful gait... But there is also enough room within the boot for me to be wearing beach shoes or rubber water shoes over my feet before putting them inside the boots... That's a convenient benefit if one is walking through torrential rain.Overall, while protecting oneself from a downpour, making one's way through mud and muck... hiking or trekking the wilds, or stepping a few feet into a stream to get a better cast... these outstanding and very well manufactured boots will be your dry feet companions. Steadying each dry step, as you make your way through whatever challenges may lie ahead of you.Highly recommended!✅

My new favorite "chore boots" - feels like the top is made out of insulated wetsuit material!
First of all, let me say that these boots fit my feet perfectly (and I have big and wide feet, all of size 12), are true to size, and accommodate thick socks without any problem.The boots themselves came nicely packaged in a cardboard box and tissue wrapping. The design of the boots reminds me of the old L.L. Bean "duck boots", but a little more refined. There isn't a distinct sole, but rather a whole rubber shoe which is attached to the body of the boot. The upper part of the boot appears to be made out of insulated neoprene that I can only compare to a quality insulated wetsuit. These boots have been warm so far, although I have not tried them in truly sub-zero weather yet.These boots were comfortable doing outdoor chores in the mud and leaves, My feet remained dry, and, even when muddy, the boots were easy to clean and looked like new. This is a good quality product with a thick base / sole that I expect will last awhile. The traction is not that of a hiking boot, but very good for this kind of product. I look forward to trying them out when shoveling the driveway.For $55, I think this is a very good purchase. While in our part of the country we can always used more insulation in our boots, these boots have a really good balance between warmth and weight. I recommend this product as an excellent "chore boot", or the type of boots to keep in your truck during the winter.
