Light weight, very comfortable
I've worn Sidi cycling shoes for over 30 years. The Genius 6.6 Carbon Vent model I've had for 9 years are still in great shape, but I cannot wear them any longer as my foot must have grown and they are now way too tight. They're a size 46.5 and I ordered the Wire 2S's in size 48. When they arrived ahead of schedule and opened the package, I was first impressed with how nice they looked with the typical high-quality Sidi is known for. Excellent materials and construction, super stiff carbon sole, substantial-looking and feeling retention system while being pretty lightweight. Unfortunately, they were too tight. The length seemed perfect, but the toe box narrows pretty abruptly from the front of the instep to the toes. Unfortunately, I had to return them. FYI, the Sidi Shot 2's (which I ended up with) have a roomier toe box. Truth be told, I probably would have preferred the Wire 2's though if they had fit me.
