Just what my husband needed

My husband had a stroke in 2010 so his right foot is always swollen. He had slip on scuffs and his foot was always half in the slipper. He would bang the front of his slipper on the wall or furniture to try and get his foot further in the slipper to no avail. He can't curl his toes strong enough to get his foot deeper into the slipper. Wide slippers did not help. My husband loves these slippers...The wide width fits him perfectly. I bought him a 12 WW. The slipper was a little large for his other foot but it didn't bother him at all. I bought stick on cushions and put one in the other slipper and it fits just right. Needless to say there is no more foot banging and my husband can even go outside to get the mail without changing shoes. Problem solved.

Great Slippers

I have only had them a few days, but I have to say these are the most comfortable slippers I have ever owned in my 73 years. I suffer from diabetic neuropathy and swelling in feet and legs, and while no slippers can eliminate pain, so far these make my feet far more comfortable and enable me to walk more confidently. I hope this remains true, and since the slippers are very well made, I believe it will.

Not as open as they look

The shoes open up wide but the toes do not. Bought for my father because of the room of the show for his swallow feet. His toes would not fit in them until we took out the padding in sole. I don't believe he was impressed. He has not worn them since giving them to him. He needs the padding in his shoes because of all the swelling.

Comfort for my husbands swollen feet

The slippers are sturdy but very comfortable. My husband has a hard time finding comfortable shoes because of swelling in his feet due to lymphedema. These slippers are "the cat's meow" Easy to change the width due to the Velcro closing when the swelling levels change. He loves the blue color, a change from the usual tan, grey and black.

Narrow toe box, rough material at ankle..

So happy to have found these slippers for mom and myself (3x and 5x widths due to edema). The Silvert style, fabric and type was very simular to another company I can no longer find. However, while the slippers are very simular, I find the Silvert's toe room is cramped. The material used to trim the slipper opening is extremely rough and when closed, this trim digs into your ankle when walking. I had to cut some of it away and sew a soft yarn in its place to stop our discomfort. Lowering the height of the fabric around the heel, the width should be reflected in toe box and soften the trim material...now you have a better slipper.
