The bands make them look dressier than regular flip flops so they can be dressed up or down depending on what they are worn with. I have been wearing these for about 20 years. I have Rheumatoid in my toes so I can't wear most anything. These are soft, a little wider and more depth for a larger foot. The very first time I bought them a feather was sticking out to the side. They use down in the soles. I don't know if they still do or not. If you have an average size foot, they will be too large for you.

No great for high instep

I love Sketchers and these were pretty and a great price. But with where the strap goes over my foot it was rubbing near my arch. I am a size 8.5-9 and have a high instep so these didn’t work for me. So sad since I loved them!
