Decent shoe. Your milage may vary
I work in a paper mill on concrete floors with 80 foot high stair cases to access the paper machines, its legally nothing to be on my feet 11 hours a shift. It's hot in the summer and freezing in the winter (in our building we just add 15 degrees to the outside air temp and 15-30 points to the humidity) it's dusty, and can have wet floor conditions, with occasional chemical contact. I am not easy on my work shoes by far. Like all my steel/composite toe work shoes do, I wore out the padding inside the rear of the heel in about 3 months, then the included insoles glue separates from the bottom and were flat and worthless about a month later so like always I toss em and add a new insole (although I always have to add quality high arch inserts with all my other non work shoes as well) then I wore down the tread of the shoes until they started coming off in tiny chunks (these treads are small and hold paper dust in them worse than the larger spaced tread shoes do) and finally the bottom edges started to separate from the bottom rubber soles of the shoe. Oh well. They lasted 9 months. According to the pedometers I keep wearing out I average walking 21 miles a shift during my 12 hour shifts, that puts these shoes at lasting through roughly 5,821 miles of my abuse. Crap, I just now realized the answer to everyone asking how I stay in shape.... These did seem to be a tad more comfortable than my usual brand of work shoes. Lasted about the same as the the other work shoes I've worn, unlike the uncomfortable 6 month Walmart ones. Try em. Your results/mileage may vary

Good Shoe For Industrial Type Work
I've had three pairs of these over the last 6 years. If you work in an environment like a hanger or industrial manufacture, these are for you. They are comfortable, and will hold up to most crap on the floor. If you walk alot in your job, you'll get about a year and a half on these on the memory foam inner sole. The inner padding is glued down and lasts about 6-8 months. Just pull it out and replace with a inner sole of your choice, from Dr Scholl or your choice of replacement. Fit is good, as advertised, and the only part that really wears down first is the heel portion, where you would use a shoe-spoon. I work in aviation, they last me, are composite toed, Not heavy like a boot, and are comfy enough or all day use. Give them a week for break in like you would any shoe.

Wide with work shoe with a one-size toe. Good overall.
The most comfortable safety toe shoes i've worn, but there is room for improvement. The description says memory foam, but it doesn't feel like it. Why does no work shoe ever have enough padding to stand up to 10-12 hours working on hard surfaces? They are not remotely slip resistant either, the slightest bit of condensation on the floor and you will slip, don't expect to remain upright if there's oil. The shoes actually fit pretty well for the most part, sketchers actually makes the best wide width shoes that i've been able to find. The safety toes however are a different story, it seems whoever makes the composite and steel toe components for work shoes only makes them in one size...painful. If you have wide feet like me, just expect to have bruised toes if you need to wear safety toe shoes. That being said, with some creative lacing these shoes can be made reasonably wearable for long periods and are far better than any other work shoes i've found thus far. I can't testify to the durability yet, but usually the liners wear out in my shoes before I have any other issues with them. While I don't love them like I do my other sketchers shoes, I will likely purchase these again.

Great Safety Shoe Bargain
I have tried a few different safety shoes recently, and I am happy to say that I have settled on these Skechers. They may not be the most durable, most comfortable, the highest quality, or the best looking. What they offer is the best combination of these features I have been able to find in this type of safety shoe. And on top of that, they are reasonably priced, so you can afford to replace them more frequently.I ordered the widest fit in my size; it seems that most all of the shoes with the rigid safety toe tend to confine the toes a LOT more than regular shoes. These shoes are the most comfortable safety shoes I have owned so far. They feature built-in gel soles, and they are much easier to get on and off than others I have had.Complaints: Really the only issue I have with these, (and any safety shoes/boots), is how heavy they are. I have to pay attention to how high I lift my legs when I walk, or I will stumble constantly. In summary, I don't think you can beat these for occasional use, economical safety shoes.

On pair #2 now
I'm awaiting the arrival of my second pair of these today - the first pair's soles are worn out, and I need the traction in my company's warehouse. In spite of wearing them daily for three years, this is all the wear they have, though; they've held up fantastically. These are the most comfortable safety shoes I've ever owned. For a little while, I was even wearing these off the clock because they were the most comfortable pair of shoes I had. And being composite toe, they're light. There are places that you won't be able to wear these to, though - some sites require steel toes and/or boots that go up over your ankles. But these are great. They seem to run a half size small. I normally wear a 10.5, but at that size my toes are kind of smooshed into the ends, so I go up to 11 with these.
