Good shoe for hiking

I would recommend trying on Skechers in the store before purchasing online. I normally buy 10 1/2 shoe. Could have gotten away with a 10. Got these on a try before you buy but forgot to return before deadline so that’s on me.I recently got into trail walking. Don’t care for the boots so these worked really good. No ankle support because it’s a shoe but as far as foot support the insole is wonderful. No tired feet. I decided to give these the ultimate test(for me) by hiking to the Hollywood sign in Los Angeles from the Bronson Cave area(the “BatCave from the 60’s Batman Tv show). I’m flat footed as a person can get and these shoes performed wonderfully. No tired feet at all. The ascent went great. The descent was challenging but left little impact on my feet.As a person who lives in an area with zero incline in the landscape, they made this trek very tolerable and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend these.

My First Skechers and I don't regret the purchase

This is good shoes. They are comfortable, fit perfectly for Men's size 9.5 with plenty of room in the toe box. It's also very stable but not hard like the other trail shoes I have. Since I got the mid-top version, it protects my ankle as well and overall I felt very secured on my feet. Due to the water repellent nature of the material used, it's very easy to clean. I just use a wet rag and wipe down the trail dusts and the shoes are like new again. The grip is excellent on down slopes. Haven't worn the shoes in the rain just yet but when rainy season comes I will be wearing this to run errands and go to the gym with it, then I should know how good this shoes is for rainy season. I don't feel like spending $150+ for other big names brands with gore-tex, I'm sure they are probably even better than simply water repellent featured on this shoes, but hey I'm in So Cal and we don't rains as much.

So Comfy, I Bought Backups!

I absolutely love my Skechers Men's GoRun Altitude shoes. Despite warnings from a local shoe store that they wouldn't be suitable for someone with very occasional gout issues, these shoes have become my go-to for days when my gout isn’t flaring up. For flare-ups, I have a specific pair of shoes, but when gout isn't a problem, it's all about the GoRun Altitude. They are the most comfortable walking shoes I've ever owned—they fit perfectly and, even after a year, are still in great shape. They impressed me so much that I bought two more pairs just in case they get discontinued. I'd definitely buy them again. Love these shoes!

I am not a fan of shoe shopping...

... as a matter of fact, my last pair of Nike tennis shoes wore thru the sole now, and are about 10 years old. My wife insisted we replace them. We went to the local shoe place and I found this brand to be very comfortable and bought a pair with red speckles in the sole, which I found interesting, although a little flashy for my taste. My wife couldn't wait to dispose of my old stand bys. After a few outings with these shoes, I found that it seemed as if I was walking on a cloud, so I was interested in finding another pair without making a special trip. I discovered there are several styles/colors of soles and found this sole with upper combo to be more appealing to me for about 20% less than at the brick and mortar. Now I have an every day pair as well as a more "formal" pair, and they both kind of feel like I am floating when I walk. I have yet another pair in my cart now on standby for when we specifically intend to hike. Good shoes, good value, nice looking.
