These Skechers hiking shoes are really comfortable right out of the box no break-in needed. Good grip on trails, solid support, and they feel sturdy without being too heavy. Great for everyday wear or weekend hikes.

I ordered a 12 wide and they fit perfect. These are good shoes, with rugged outsoles and memory foam insoles. They seem durable and I have put them to the test on some steep, rocky trail hikes. My only complaint is the break in period. I took them for a walk right out of the box, and it was a bit uncomfortable. The toe box bends and creases a bit uncomfortably across the top of my foot. I softened the crease by bending it manually many times and working it with my hands. They are much more comfortable now and I am glad I purchased them. As with many shoes, I do recommend giving yourself time to break them in.

These Skechers Outdoor waterproof hiking shoes are an awesome product. This is my second pair. My first pair is 3 years old and still going strong. They just beat up a bit. They’re waterproof, comfortable and look great. The Skechers warehouse in town didn’t have nearly the selection that Amazon has, Plus the prices are at least 40% cheaper. No stores around here carry wide width shoes either. I look forward to breaking these in. There already comfortable and stylish.
I liked the shoes, they were exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately the sole from one of the shoes started coming off. Skechers has a two year warranty so I contacted Amazon to see if they would honor, they would not, and told me to contact Skechers. I contacted Skechers and they made me give them an inordinate amount of information about the shoe AND I had to ship them back to get a new ones. They do NOT cover shipping. It cost me $30 to ship from Ohio to California. Not very good customer service in my opinion. Very disappointed in this experience.I would like to add to this review. After I spent $30 shipping these back, here was the response months later:We received the items you sent for review from our Quality Assurance department.After careful inspection, it was determined that the item/s are not defective, as the damage could be due to several factors, including storage, maintenance, and use. I bought these shoes looking for comfort and durability. I work a variety of jobs that demand long hours of standing and many miles of movement per day. I’ll say these shoes certainly met my demand for comfort, however they simply did not live up to the durability I needed. Within about three weeks, the insoles began to crack and rip apart, and after about 4 weeks, the sidewall began to show weakness and the outer toe of the sole began to peel. Again, I am certainly not easy on them, but for those looking for a shoe that will hold up to daily wear, long hours outdoors, and many miles of walking, I would not recommend these.
