Yes. These are WALKING shoes
I bought four pair, and got rid of my other shoes entirely. These are specially designed shoes meant for walking. The bottoms are flexible, and the shoe itself weighs very little. The insoles are that firm memory foam feeling stuff, and it supports my weight quite well. How is this different from a running shoe? For one thing, I don't need this to lace up to my feet quite as tightly as a running shoe. A bit of space is fine for my needs. For another, this thing weighs nothing. This doesn't have the extra cushioning that a runner needs, which reduces the weight quite a bit. Also, the shoe itself doesn't need to take as much impact as a runner will put on it, making the soles and other materials much lighter weight. The part near the toes is flexible enough to bend nicely when you're rolling the foot from the heel to the toe, while the rest of the shoe is stiff enough to stay put where it is. If you've ever worn a poorly fitting shoe, you'll unconcsciously bend your foot downwards so that you can keep the shoe in place. This doesn't have an issue with that at all. The shoe fits nicely, and accommodates my walking very easily. The biggest plus is that I can slide my feet into these shoes without bending down to put them on. This is super convenient, and makes it so that I can keep a pair right by my front door to slip into when I'm headed out. Absolutely zero issues slipping into and out of the shoes. These have encouraged me to get out and walk a lot more than I used to, which is more than I can say for fancier shoes from more expensive brands. Don't get me wrong: these are plenty expensive. However, having a pair of shoes that I can slide into and not have pain while wearing is such a huge boost to my ability to keep moving.
