These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn
Shoes are such a personal thing. What makes for a walk on the clouds to me might be agonizing torment for you. So I was reluctant to buy shoes online. But a two day return window means if I don't like them, I don't keep them.First thing when shopping for shoes - they have to catch your eye. How they look is nowhere near as important as fit, but if you don't like their look, you'll likely go no further. These looked like something I'd wear. Reviews were mostly good. I pulled the trigger, and when I checked this morning at 6:15, they were sitting on my porch. When I brought them in and opened the box, I was very happy with the in-person look. It was better than the online picture that had caught my eye. Handling them, they were light and flexible while seeming strong enough. I took all the *stuff* off/out of the right shoe and tried it on. Oh my. Oh my! The fit was dead on. I felt luckier than lucky. A shot in the dark seemed to have hit the bullseye! I got out the other shoe and took all the *stuff* out/off and put it on. Walked around the kitchen. Oh my. Oh my!I was about to tear up the box and order another pair, but I thought better of it. Let's not be hasty. Unlike boots or dress shoes from days gone by, modern active footwear doesn't really need to be 'broken in'. It comes out of the box pretty much ready to go. Bendable sole, strong, breathable, flexible uppers. So I took them out for a spin on my morning walk. This review would have been written sooner, but I didn't want the walk to end! My legs and feet have not felt this good *after* a walk since last year.I ordered another pair, as past experience has told me when you wear out a pair of shoes you like, you won't be able to find them again. My morning walks will put over 500 miles on these dudes by November. I feel incredibly lucky, as these may be the nicest pair of shoes I've ever put on my feet.Again, shoes are very personal, and these may not be for you, but if you're an old guy who wears 9-1/2 wide and have trouble finding stuff that fits: these sure have fit me!
Great for walking on city streets and paths. These are the best walking shoes I've ever worn, and for the price, they are amazing. The fit out of the box was excellent - exactly what I expected and wanted. My left foot is lower and wider than my right, and I was able to get both sides to fit comfortably and securely. Read on :)It took some trial and error to figure out the best way to lace these up for a good, solid, comfortable fit. When I first wore them, my heel was sliding around quite a bit, so I tightened up the forefoot area, until my toes were uncomfortable cramped. After trying different pressures among the eyelets, I figured out to keep the two forefoot eyelets snug, and tighten the second eyelet firmly, and the first just past snug. Now my foot is comfortable, and my heel fits snugly into the heel cup and only moves when walking up or down steep inclines. I only have to adjust them now and then - maybe after two or three hours of walking - the eyelets keep the laces from moving too much.I've only put about 15 miles on these so far, and I love them. They have great rebound, and provide a good amount of cushion without having a ridiculously thick heel like many current models of sneakers. They're super light weight, and I think they look great.I took off one star for Support, as the sides have very little structure (which does keep the weight down), and that makes them a bit hard to lace up and get a really comfortable, secure fit. They don't offer much lateral support, but I think that's OK since I won't be wearing these to the gym, or on difficult hiking trails.I'm going to be city walking daily on an upcoming trip, and plan to do about 25,000 steps a day. I'll update when I get back.Highly recommended!
Very nice lightweight shoes. Skechers has weird sizing though.... These are an EXTRA-wide 9.5, and yet they seem narrower than the 9.5 Wides of the same size from a very similar Skechers model! 🤷🏻♀️
Light weight & very comfortable walking shoes. Similar to other Sketchers mesh 'walking shoes', these shoes adsorbs shock of walking on hard pavement very well -- like walking on turf. Only concern is the durability of the sole material. I plan to update after (hopefully) many miles. Obvious, but with mesh uppers, these shoes are recommended for walking only in dry conditions (lessons-learned: avoid walking through puddles).
Awesome shoes very comfortable
This is my second pair. I bought it not because the first pair wore out, but because the first pair is so good that I just wanted to be sure I had the same thing for the future. Light weight, fits perfectly, and makes me think I can walk forever in them. I am 77 years old and my feet appreciate being pampered with these.
