I’ve been playing Pickleball for almost two years, and these are the best shoes I’ve owned. Super comfortable, durable, and stable on the court. I’ve tried other, even pricier brands, but none compare. Great design, great feel — truly a complete product. Those who know, know.
These pickleball shoes are a solid choice, especially if you have wide feet. They’re comfortable right out of the box and actually give you the space you need in all the right places. The fit feels well thought out, and I appreciate the extra protection around the toe box—sliding across the court hasn’t caused any tearing or premature wear, which is a big plus. The overall quality is decent for the price, and I like that they’re machine washable. However, there’s a major issue with the insoles. After washing and drying them (even on a medium-low heat setting), the insoles severely deformed and needed to be replaced. They’re definitely not safe for the dryer, even at lower temperatures. Nowhere in the instructions or product info does it mention this, and it’s something buyers should be warned about. If you plan to wash these shoes, make sure to air dry them—do not put them in the dryer, or you’ll risk ruining the insoles. All in all, these shoes are comfortable and hold up well on the court, but the care instructions should be clearer. Take extra caution when cleaning them.
This is a very nice shoe however, you should be aware that this shoe was made for the pickleball court so it is not as cushioned as some other Skechers styles. This shoe provides very stable support for what it was designed for. I don’t want to mislead you by implying that there is no cushion because there is. It’s a stiffer feel in the cushion material that is used. What you get is a very stable foot print when you plant your foot on the ground especially during an athletic event. I have been wearing them for five days and found them to be very comfortable. For those of you who play pickleball I think you will find this shoe very responsive to that activity. It is a shoe that is worth your consideration. Give them a look and try a pair on if you have access to them. Check them out.
I liked the look and feel of these shoes. But the fit was not right for my feet. I have a wide foot and narrow heel and I usually wear NB x-wide (4E). The Sketcher’s fit well in the toe box, but were a little long. I would suggest buying a 1/2 size smaller. Also, my heel wanted to slip out of the shoe when walking. Not a good thing when playing on the court. A bummer for me, but I think it could be a really nice court shoe for someone who has a better fit.
These are nice pickleball shoes overall, but that should be expected from Sketchers. A few things I like are:1. They provide terrific support for racquet sports. They are designed for sideways motion, not forward motion like running shoes. The soles are wide and "stick" to the court.2. I like the toe protector, esp since I tend to drag my toe on long reaches. This may be ugly in the long run, but we'll see. At least the upper material will be spared.3. These are just good-looking, versatile shoes. If you use these for outdoor play, then you may as well use them for everyday use too. They are that comfy.4. One caveat...the toe-box is large. I have 8.5 normal feet (i.e., not wide or narrow), but I need to wear thick socks to fill the toe-box. I would prefer they fit more snugly, but that may be a Skechers thing. These are the first pair of Skechers I've owned.Overall, I would buy them if they fit more snugly, but they still warrant 5-stars.
