Once Again, Skechers Delivers
I'm an overnight security agent at a resort.I used to regularly purchase the Skechers Telfin Sanphet shoe, but recently it has been unavailable for quite a while. It's an excellent shoe. Durable and dependable.Once time came for me to buy a new pair of shoes, I once again had to do a little research through Skechers' line to find something similar. I arrived upon this model, the Street Treader, which has a lot of the same qualities and features that I appreciated in the Telfin Sanphet. Slip resistant, oil resistant, electric shock resistant (I haven't tested this feature), etc. I especially like the Goodyear tire tread-like soles. So, I purchased a pair back in April of this year.It has turned out to be an excellent pair of shoes, thus far. I might even go so far as to say it's even better than the Telfin Sanphet, as it not only seems equally durable and flexible, it's also lighter weight and even more comfortable. I've tested the slip resistance on a few different liquids, including oil, grease, and soapy water. I noticed no issues. The unfavorable reviews I've read about this shoe, I can only surmise are from people who may have bought them for the wrong purpose. If you're a contractor, or anything similar, I wouldn't recommend this shoe. You'll beat it up and it'll fall apart. This shoe isn't made for that kind of punishment. It's made for people who work in food service, hospitality, or security, etc., where you're on your feet and moving a lot, all day. It's perfect for that.Additionally, I'm not a fan of Memory Foam inserts, so I remove them immediately and replace them with CopperFit inserts, then I've got the perfect combination of shoe and sole insert. I do 7000-9000 steps per shift. Not as many as some of you, but more than others. One other bonus of this shoe: It's about half the price of the Telfin Sanphet. I'll probably be purchasing a second pair, so I can alternate.
