Attracts and retains stains
I bought these to replace a pair I bought years ago, but they changed the material, or I unknowingly bought a slightly different model than I had the first time. I wore them twice and both times they immediately got stained and the stains are not coming out even though they are machine washable. I wasn't walking in motor oil or anything like that, just walked through a little regular dirt after they got wet. My previous pair did not do this. These shoes are good only for urban conditions, ie dry concrete and asphalt and indoor use. Since I can't get the stains out, they have become barn shoes for feeding in the summer. Not what I had in mind. I also don't like it that they come with an elastic loop instead of laces that does not allow for tightening - my heel comes partially dislodged while walking, its a bit like wearing a flip flop. Comfortable other than that.
