Add 1/2 size up if you want to wear heavy socks and perhaps arch insert foot beds.
I usually wear an 11 M but I thought if my toe touched the end as they do in some 11's, I would not have room for heavy socks. I think the 11 W would flip on my heal so I ordered a 12 knowing they would be somewhat long. They are plenty long But now I can wear heavy socks and maybe add an arch insert for our coming cold weather coming. They are supper light weight and have that old Sketcher's feel. They look dressy and not bulky like the skiing look. You could wear them with jeans or dress pants and they would look great with either. For once I can easily put a pr. of boots on as they are easy to put on. If you want a pair for snow plowing, playing in the snow, football games, or waist high snow, buy yourself boots like Sorrels.
